The season is starting in just over a month, and I'd like to begin releasing my preseason All-State Teams this week, starting with the D5 All-State teams and progressing to the D1 All-State Teams on Friday. I'll have a first-team and second-team, along with honorable mentions in each division around the state. Before the season starts, I will also update rankings in the 26, 27, and 28 classes, as well as the Watch List for the class of 2029.

[player_tooltip player_id='400915' first='Mikaia' last='Litza'], sr., Wauwatosa East

The reigning D2 state champion committed to DePaul in the offseason. Litza is a smooth operator with the ball in her hands and can create at an elite level whenever she's on the floor. Her ability to make plays off the dribble and score from all three levels opens the floor for her teammates and can help her team be an elite offense every night.

[player_tooltip player_id='533057' first='Natalie' last='Kussow'], sr., Arrowhead

The Minnesota commit is a talented offensive player who helped her Warhawk unit win a Division 1 state title in 2024 and made the state tournament this past winter. Kussow is one of the most explosive scorers and finished with the third-most points in a modern two-game D1 State Tournament format, and will have another season to help her team reach a third consecutive state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='764935' first='Jada' last='Seubert'], jr., SPASH

Seubert is one of the top guards in the state and is both an elite scorer and passer on the offensive end of the floor. Her ability to move the ball on the offensive end will help her teammates get open looks every time down the floor. She can score 30 on any night and also have ten assists in any game she plays in for Stevens Point. She is electric.

[player_tooltip player_id='536013' first='Giselle' last='Janowski'], sr., Pewaukee

The Pewaukee native and Wisconsin commit is an elite defender who may be the best defender I've seen in my time covering girls' basketball in Wisconsin. Janowski is coming off a knee injury, which kept her out for the second half of her junior season. She was arguably the most influential player at any level in high school basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='874372' first='Nyajuacni' last='Riak'], soph., Madison La Follette

The Madison native is among the most talented players in the country and had an excellent first season of high school basketball. She can do anything she sets her mind to on both ends of the floor and has the potential to continue growing over the next few years. Any time she's on the floor, Riak will give herself a chance to win.
