Kenna is our #1 2028 prospect, and her showstopping performances at the LBI Mitten Opening backed up that ranking. Kenna energized Lumen Christi with her aggressive defense, assertive drives, fantastic finishes, and perimeter shooting. She buried a confident deep three off the catch, and accelerated off a DHO to score a tough layup. Kenna swatted a shot away with authority in the paint, swiped the ball away, and drained a contested fadeaway jumper in the corner. She created a driving lane using a shifty behind the back between the legs combo dribble, then shifted into high gear to score a layup. Kenna drove by a defender and dished out an assist, then made a smooth transfer to her left hand to finish a transition layup. Lumen Christi defeated Belleville and proved why they're the D3 favorite heading into the season.

Paisley is an elite guard prospect, and she had an outstanding day for Belleville at the LBI Mitten Opening. Paisley dropped in a floater, changed directions with a shifty crossover to score a layup, and closed driving lanes with her fast lateral feet on defense. Paisley caught a pass with soft hands to score a layup, used a sweet fake-pass move to score again, and finished effectively inside off two feet. She forced helpside defenders to collapse and distributed the ball to open teammates. Paisley climbed the ladder to high-point an offensive rebound, ripped the ball strongly to keep it protected, then powered up in traffic off two feet. Paisley was active on the offensive glass and made unselfish extra passes for assists.

Lyla is about to have a breakout season for Howell. She's dynamic with the ball and can pass, shoot, or create off the dribble. Lyla's hustle, aggressive defense, toughness, creativity, and scoring gave the Highlanders a boost at the LBI Mitten Opening. She put her defender in jail after a crossover dribble and dropped in a soft floater. Lyla attacked downhill on a hard drive to the hoop and finished a tough layup through contact with her left. She chased down offensive rebounds, distributed accurate passes to open teammates, and drained a confident corner three. Lyla jumped into the passing lanes for steals and hit the deck to secure 50/50 balls.

Ava showed her competitive fire and toughness against very challenging opponents at the LBI Mitten Opening. She handled the ball with confidence, pushed the tempo, and created positive plays for Clarkston. Ava drove downhill with a full head of steam and dished a great dump-off pass to an open teammate for the assist. She ran the floor well, scoring a layup in transition, then attacked the final defender to make a strong and-one layup through contact-- plus the free throw. Ava fired a kick-out pass to the corner for an assist, handled the ball with poise under pressure, caused fouls, and knocked down her shots at the line. Ava used a shot fake to freeze her defender, went by after a quick crossover dribble, and kissed the floater off the glass for two points. Ava motored up the court after securing a defensive rebound with a speedy dribble and drilled a corner three. She swiped the ball away, drove hard to the rim, and finished the play with the layup. Ava is going to be an important member of the Wolves' backcourt this winter.

Jaida is an under-the-radar prospect who quietly contributes mightily to Belleville's success by making all the right plays. She made a great impression at the LBI Mitten Opening and will be an important contributor this season. Jaida has good instincts on the defensive end. She jumped a pass for the steal and took it quickly the other way for a fast break finish off two feet. Jaida finished layups efficiently, going full speed to the rim. She pushed the ball with pace in transition using both hands, changed directions with a crossover, then stretched around a defender with her left hand to convert the tough layup. Jaida's a two-way player with versatility and athleticism that stand out on the court.

Lucy displayed immense toughness and gritty determination at the LBI Mitten Opening. She muscled into position to secure an offensive rebound, then finished the put-back through contact for an and-one. Lucy drove hard to the rim for another and-one bucket, dished out assists, handled the ball well under pressure, and kept her hands active on defense to disrupt passes. Lucy converted a tough floater off two feet, battled inside to grab rebounds on both ends, and scored another and-one layup on a determined drive--plus the free throw. Lucy's non-stop motor gives opponents fits and makes her a continuous threat on the offensive glass. She's a huge reason why Lumen Christi is heading into the season ranked #1 in D3.
