What a debut by a freshman against a traditional Oklahoma high school basketball powerhouse. Went for 25 points, getting hers in about every which way. Showed off the speed with drives and transition scores. But impressively doesn't just play at one speed. Uses two foot stops for pull ups, and a great crossover to change gears and slip to the rim. Already has great body control, understanding angles and ways to take contact and still score, Mix in a couple threes and Jones looks like a complete scorer.

Speaking of dynamic guards, Cauthron helped 4A contenders Broken Bow to a 61-35 win over an Arkansas squad. Big time production with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Speedy and quick, routinely went by multiple defenders on drives in this game. Her explosiveness is unique and gives her a big edge at the high school level. Especially when paired with good perimeter shooting. Even looks athletic when shooting those, as she elevates quickly and finishes high on her jumpers.

Butler steps into a bigger role for the Lady Hornets, looking to add to their strong recent tradition. Athleticism is apparent with the way she plays the passing lanes and crashes the glass. Skies for contested rebounds. Good reads and unselfishness, especially in transition. Good touch in the 12-18 foot range with smooth jumpers. Perfectly complimenting her ability to glide to the rim with her graceful long strides.

Defensive minded sophomore, helping Berryhill to a season opening win with a line of 17 points, 6 assists and 2 blocks. Not included in the Hudl clips is a block where she flew out to swat a shooter. She might've spilled somebody's popcorn or drink with the way she spiked the ball into the stands. What is included in the hudl clips is her range. And it's serious range, the last two threes are from 25+ feet. She drained them cleanly and with great form. Promising start for a dynamic prospect.

Sharpshooting junior guard to keep an eye on from a Sapulpa program with a lot of recent success. Cashed out from deep to start the scoring and peppered in threes throughout. Finishing with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assist and 2 steals. Look forward to continue to track a player who appears to have a next level trait in her shooting.

Newcomer to Caney Valley, who's quickness and aggressiveness has them of to a fast start. Is a thief with a combined 18 steals in the first two games. Has a "that's mine" mentality with the way she snatches errant passes, chases down loose balls and pokes out loose dribbles. Can shoot it with range too, averaging 17 points in those wins. Promising start for a 2A sleeper, CV's schedule heats up next week with the Copan Tournament.
