Class 7A Leading Scorers

The 7A class is filled with elite scorers who get it done in completely different ways. Some dominate from beyond the arc, others attack the rim with power and speed, and a few control the game with craft and footwork in the mid range. Despite their different styles, they all share one thing in common: they consistently put the ball in the basket and lead their teams with confidence. This group of top scorers is redefining what offensive impact looks like in 7A and proving there is more than one way to light up the scoreboard.    [player_tooltip player_id='861097' first='Serenity' last='Hardy'] has been on a scoring tear in her senior year, leading her team to a fifth place ranking in the state. She has done so against the fifth-toughest schedule in the state, which makes her performance even more impressive. Hardy is averaging 23.8 PPG, with her lowest scoring game being 15 points more than many players average and her highest being a 40 point performance.   Hardy is a pure three level scorer and one of the best three point shooters in the state, while also excelling in the mid range game. She is especially effective at drawing fouls and cashing in at the free throw line. Hardy is looking to add another state championship ring to her collection.     [player_tooltip player_id='430459' first='Stephanie' last='Vega'] is a 1,000-point career scorer, so it's no surprise that she is one of the leading scorers in the 7A class. One of her strongest offensive skills is her shooting ability, but her most dangerous weapon is drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line, where she is automatic. She is shooting 75% from the line this season and had one game where she went 16-for-18 on free throws.   This season, Vega is averaging 18.4 PPG while shooting 48% from the field. She controls the game and takes what the defense gives her, showing her veteran presence and poise on the floor.     [player_tooltip player_id='248697' first='Paisley' last='Binswanger'] has consistently been a scoring machine at Sarasota High for four years and became the school's all time leading scorer this season, reaching 1,611 career points and still counting. She is averaging 18.8 PPG this season, along with 3.7 assists, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 steals, impacting the game in every way.   Paisley follows the trend of the top scorers in the state by being able to score at all three levels. She will always be in the history books at Sarasota High and holds the title as the best player to come from the program, having stayed and competed there for all four years.     [player_tooltip player_id='1234884' first='Jaylah' last='Julmeus'] is a flash of speed on the floor, beating defenders down the court and outrunning most with the ball in her hands while finishing at a high rate in transition. Add in her ability to stop on a dime and change pace and direction with an explosive first step, and it has allowed her to average 14 PPG this season.   Her relentless hustle has also led to her averaging 14.6 rebounds per game, giving her a double double on the season simply by outworking her opponents.     [player_tooltip player_id='1121344' first='Yaneyla' last='Pedraza'] is a major scoring threat, knocking down deep three-pointers with rhythm and confidence. She also knows how to attack downhill, absorb contact, and get to the free-throw line often the key to becoming a leading scorer.   Add in her ability to stay calm under pressure and her versatility to run the point guard position or play off the ball while remaining a constant threat on the floor. Pedraza is averaging 18.5 PPG this season along with 4.1 steals per game.
