<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Michigan State Showcase will tip off the weekend basketball festivities, with many prospects hitting the hardwood this Friday before the Michigan State Tournament starts on Saturday. There's a mix of 2027-2030 prospects pulling up on the set to put their skills on display in front of our scouts during 3v3 and 5v5 games. With her length and fundamental skill, she has a high floor and ceiling as next-level guard. She can facilitate, create open looks for others and herself, bury the open three, and finish through contact with either hand. The first time I saw her play was at the Breslin Center, and wow, did she make a great first impression! Zaya was the most impactful player for Brandywine against the eventual state champs. She's effective in the paint as a face-up driver out of the high post, can score with her back to the basket, has good passing instincts, and pops out to the perimeter to drain threes. She knocks down open threes, flies around on the defensive end to deflect passes, blocks shots, and pokes the ball away for steals.
