2026 UA Next City Classic

Under Armour's UA Next Classic brought some of the nation's top basketball talent to Baltimore, a city rich in basketball history, passion and culture. Players from 11 states across the country and Canada converged on Charm City to compete in a high-level all-star game featuring NBA stars De'Aaron Fox (San Antonio Spurs) and Derik Queen (New Orleans Pelicans) as coaches, along with an on-court comedian providing play-by-play and keeping the atmosphere lively. Everything about the event was done at a high level, but when the lights came on, the local talent shined brightest. Here are some of the highlights.    Ivanna did exactly what you would expect from the top player in the class when going against the best of the best. She walked away with the MVP Award after scoring the final five points, including the game winner. She scored more points in the second half alone than any other player scored in the entire game, and did it without attempting a single free throw. Ivanna pulled out the entire bag of spin moves, crossovers, three-pointers and strong-arming defenders on her way to a game-high 21 points. When the game was on the line, she took over and delivered. At the end of the day, there was no question who the best player in the building was.     Sabrina had a complete game on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she was locked in, and offensively, she was on fire, finishing with 15 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field. She showed effortless range from well beyond the three-point line, knocking down three triples, including shots from logo range. The University of Virginia commit led all scorers at the half with 10 points and gave everyone in attendance a preview of the scoring punch and two-way play she will be bringing to the ACC.     As a 2029, Mackenzie was one of the youngest players in the building, competing on the court she will now call home for high school. Her confidence seemed to take off after her first shot, a three-pointer, found the bottom of the net, and you could see the difference in her energy from that point forward. She played with confidence and looked comfortable competing against some of the best players in the country. Mackenzie finished with 8 points in just 12 minutes of action, making the most of her opportunity on the big stage.     Ashlee made a strong impression as one of the younger players in the game, dropping 15 points while connecting on four three-pointers. The six-foot incoming freshman from Minnesota also went to work on the boards, pulling down 8 rebounds and coming close to a double-double. She showed that she could stretch the floor with her shooting while using her size to make an impact around the basket. Ashlee also had the opportunity to share the floor with her older sister, rising senior Mya, who added 5 points of her own.     We remember Lillie from that WV Thunder team that rolled through everyone over the summer, and she continued her solid play on the All-Star stage. She finished with 11 points and consistently put pressure on the defense by attacking and getting herself to the free-throw line.
