The state of Georgia has become of the nation's top destination for women's college basketball coaches looking for the next big thing. For decades the state has been one of the top producers of college athletes in every sport, but basketball and football have been king. She was an elite shooter running around the court as 12-year-old with those bright fluorescent colors on. Fast Forward 4-5 years and Rogers has worked to become a complete player while maintaining her ability to knockdown threes with little time or space consistently. G has the skills to handle the ball in the ACC now; thanks to the time and effort she and Coach Pitts have put in together the last few years. She is a strong kid with very good athleticism and the ability to play early on the flats. Rogers will first try and lead her team, along with fellow P4 commit [player_tooltip player_id='671760' first='Aila' last='Courtenay'] (Florida), to a state championship as she closes the chapter on her outstanding high school career. I expect Rogers to have a long and successful career at Georgia Tech. She chose the Jackets over Alabama, Texas Tech, Houston, and Arizona. Clearly the in-state prospect was a priority for Karen Blair and her staff.

London is another player I have been watching since she entered high school three years ago where she had a very impressive debut season. The next year Smith led Newton to a state championship after going on an insane postseason run as a sophomore. She has held down that position for one of the very best programs in the state since she stepped foot on campus, leading talented teams of older players each year. She is as crafty and skilled as any guard in her class and plays with an exceptionally high IQ. Coach Bailey has done a great job molding her into the player she has become and one that I strongly believe will play early and often as a freshman. London chose coach Kristi Curry and the South Florida Bulls over James Madison, Dayton, Memphis, and the home state Georgia Southern Eagles. London plays the game like an old school point guard. She is a pass first player who looks to initiate and facilitate the offense for her team but has proven to be an effective and efficient scorer herself when necessary.

Boss Lady has put in a very respectable three years at Buford and more years of impressive basketball on Nike's EYBL circuit with Essence. E'miah is a proven commodity that had an impressive list of offers before making the decision to stay home and play for the new staff at Kennesaw State the next five years. The smooth southpaw can score on the inside and out on the offensive end and defend a number of positions due to her versatility. She is well-rounded player that should contribute early for the Owls. I expect Fields to have a very solid career in college and would not be surprised to see her playing on the Power Four level in a couple years. First, Mya will try and led Buford on a deep run in February before she graduates and moves on.

There are not a lot of players in this class with the elite athleticism that Robbins possesses not just in Georgia but nationally. She is as quick as a cat and can really explode off the ground when she jumps. Combine that with her 5'9 frame and really long wingspan and you have game-changing player on both ends of the court. Robbins was lethal in transition this Summer with Hebron and Her Elite sprinting out on the fast break and leaving everyone else in her rear-view mirror. At the rim, Michel finishes well with both hands and elevates over most defenders. Robbins has worked very hard since middle school to be skilled in every area and not simply rely on physical gifts. I think Robbins will actually be a better player in college as her game is more suited for the speed and pace of play on that level. She and her very talented teammates at Hebron will have to run the gauntlet of power programs in the private school division that includes St. Francis and Holy innocents if they hope to repeat as state champions.

Having watched most of Craig's games this summer with Hebron and during a lot of travel ball, I can see without question that Alyssa is one of the more underrated and appreciated players in the state in the 2027 class. She is almost automatic when left open from deep but proved time and time again this Spring and Summer that she can get to the basket in the halfcourt and score as well as consistently getting buckets in transition. Craig has very good natural instincts on the court and plays with a high level of basketball knowledge. She knows her strengths and plays to them very well. I expect her to have a huge senior season scoring the basketball for Hebron, something she is more than capable of doing. Craig and her twin, Alexa, have committed to play the next four years at Colombus State for Coach Matt Houser and the Cougars.

With the wave of talent leaving Hebron last season as a result of transfers and graduation, players like [player_tooltip player_id='743526' first='Alexa' last='Craig'] will have the chance to step up and make a name for themselves as Christy Brown takes over the program in her first year as head coach. Alexa, like her twin Alyssa, is a very good shooter from the perimeter who has worked hard the last couple years to diversify her game on the offensive end. Whether it was in Ohio at Select Events or at Lakepoint with Hebron, Alexa not only knocked down shots from three-point range but also made shots from 12-15 feet on the perimeter and finished well around the rim. Alexa is definitely the stronger of the two and that should help her get on the court early in Columbus.

Clayton State got another very versatile player in [player_tooltip player_id='738932' first='Madison' last='Bennett'] who has proven to be one of the very best shooters in Georgia regardless of classification the last three years. At the Nike Session in Las Vegas in July, Bennett averaged over 15 points per game while also averaging 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and over 2.5 steals per game. She has won the state three-point shooting contest, which included every public high school and their representative in Georgia. She has had an impressive and consistent high school career which probably has not gotten the recognition it deserves. As someone who has seen Bennett play multiple times, I can say with a high level of confidence that she will be a meaningful contributor and have a great career with the Cougars.
