Maraja Pass Maraja Pass 5'6" | PG Winston-Salem Christian National | 2023 State NC : The point guard from Shelby high school had an outstanding freshman season. She averaged 5.1 assists per game this last season (and tallied 17 points per game). She is smart with the ball in her hands, knows how to set her teammates up, and wants to dish the rock. She had 6 different outings with 7+ assists. Being the floor leader of her team, and a D2 offer already she has a bright future. She plays AAU for the Team Curry organization.
Anna Mathis: The point guard from Concord high school had a breakout season for the Spiders. She averaged 4.2 assists per game this last season (along with 4 points and 5 rebounds per game). She is crafty with the ball in her hands, she gets downhill and into the paint easily. She had 8 different outings with 6+ assists. She is feisty on defense as well, she gets easy steals and pushes the tempo in transition for her teammates. She is someone to watch over the next 3 years and see how much she keeps developing.
Laila Hankerson: The point guard from Charlotte Country Day is a great athlete. She averaged 2.9 assists per game this last season (while shooting 35% from 3). She can get downhill going right or left, gets in the paint and scores, and is able find her open teammate. She is smart on defense and takes advantage of her opponent. She creates fast break opportunities for herself and teammates. There is no doubt that she will continue to grow and become an even better player. She plays AAU for the Carolina Flames organization.
Kennette Bess: The point guard from Ashbrook high school started off her freshman season on fire. She averaged 2.6 assists per game this last season (while averaging over 10 points and 2 steals). She has good court vision and a pretty high IQ. In 8 different outings she had 4+ assists. She is another feisty defender who has her way with her opponents. She has a strong supporting cast with her at Ashbrook so I assume nothing but bigger and better things moving forward. She plays AAU for the NC Gems organization.
Nevaeh Farmer: The point guard from North Mecklenburg high school is a scrappy hustle player. She averaged 2.4 assists per game this last season (while having more assists than turnovers on the season). She plays hard and is tough nosed. She came on strong at the end of the season with the last 5 games of the season scoring in double-digits twice, and dishing out 2+ assists in 4 of the games. She has good upside and plays for tough coaches who push her. She plays AAU for the Lady Phoenix organization.
