has put together a high school career to remember and one that she should be proud of. For four years now she has been a constant on the offensive end for her program. She has been lighting it up from all over the court, especially from deep at a high rate and letting her opponents know about it. Sometimes when you have a really skilled player, they shrink when it gets to either their high school or AAU season but that’s not the case with Knutson. She has always shown up in one way or another when she takes the floor and I think that’s going to continue on this trend after this year at Drake. She has several abilities on the floor but her best is shooting it from deep and that’s going to translate to any level/program she competes with. Make sure to keep an eye out for Knutson these next few years. She is a name out of Iowa that could take off in the correct system.

and her performance from Monday afternoon so I’m not going to say too much about it other than, wow. 34 Points on 52% shooting for the entire contest and helping lead her team to an upset victory was the most impressive performance of Day 1 in my opinion. on Davenport North’s side, Knutson stole the show. She is a household name in Iowa at the high school level at this point and that’s going to be the same once she graduates. She is committed to Drake for her collegiate future on the hardwood and with her shooting ability, I’m sure she is going to shine when she gets her opportunities.

- 1/20/24 vs IC West – 44 Points
The Cedar Falls Tigers beat up on the Iowa City West Trojans yesterday, winning by a final score of 83-43. In this contest, the Tigers star Shooting Guard,

registered 44 points in the win. Let me repeat that once more so everyone understands what is going on here. Knutson ended the contest scoring 44 points by herself, while hitting a school record 13 three pointer from deep. I haven’t seen the full stat line so I can’t tell you what her other numbers were just yet but putting up more points then the entire other team is impressive, especially when you are scoring in the 40’s-50’s range. If you can’t tell, this was a shooting clinic but Knutson and her whole team. They started off the game on fire and that never seemed to slow down. There is going to be a conversation at the end of this year for best performances during the 2023-2024 season throughout the state and this performance WILL be included in that.

is one of the state’s premier shooters and has been for quite a few years now. Knutson, the Drake Women’s basketball commit, is going to be a vital piece to her teams success this season in their attempts to get to a State Title. To begin this year and going into break, Cedar Falls has been holding their own and killing their competition. Knutson is averaging a state leading 4.4 three point shot makes per game and I expect that to continue. When you have a talented player that Knutson, with her ability to shoot it like she does, you have to give her as many open attempts as you can in your offense. I feel that this group has done that, not only this season so far but throughout the past few years so I wouldn’t expect anything to change up now. She does average about 10-12 attempts from three point land each game but that’s what is going to happen when you possess the talent that she does in this category.

. Knutson is a Drake women’s basketball commit and she is the real deal. Someone that demonstrates picture perfect shooting form, is going to be the main reason that her North Polk High School team makes it to the State Playoffs this winter, if they can pull off such a feat. Knutson sometimes was overshadowed on her

EYBL 17U team this past spring/summer but don’t get it twisted. She is a high level, high octane type player that can compete with some of the best competition in the country. In this Rankings Update, Knutson moves to the #6 spot on our list. Something she should be proud of but not satisfied with moving forward.

made the most out of her opportunities this past weekend with this stacked roster she is on. The Drake commit is a talented, young player with good vision and a nice jumper. She moves well down the floor and isn’t afraid of contact near the basket in any form. On top of that, she has a good amount of skill moves to use before pulling out her patented jumper. I’m expecting a big high school season once again for Knutson. She is a dominate force in high school ball and she is going to let it fly for her senior year. I already know it and I can’t wait to watch it all unfold.

put together a nice spring season with her All Iowa Attack AAU team. Knutson, the Drake Bulldogs commit, is a player that changes the game with her smarts and skill. She can move with or with-out the ball while still producing at a high rate. She can get hot fast from the field while holding nice size and the ability to guard a smaller, faster player or a larger, more muscular player. At Drake I expect Knutson to stay as a shooting guard, with some versatility. She isn’t the tallest player so at that level to dominate the post by itself is tough. With her abilities to play outside-to-inside, she should be making an impression in that program almost immediately. Knutson only moved up 1 spot from the last Players Rankings Update but at this point, any moment in the Top 10 is tough to come by.

is committed to Drake to start off her college basketball career. Knutson, an agile guard with good size, can move from the point guard position to the shooting guard position depending on her teams line up. When she has the ball in her hands she is good at leading her team down the floor in transition, usually ending with finding someone open for a clean look at the basket. If she moves to the off-guard spot she is nice with her catch and shoot while being able to put it on the floor to create in other ways, if her defender jumps at one of her pump-fakes. As a guard she has a really complete game and it’s going to bring her a good amount of success at the next level, you can already tell.

The Drake commitment dominated this game, which otherwise was a defensive struggle. She scored 26 of her team’s 38 points and proved a difficult matchup for whomever West put on her defensively. She displays excellent form on her jumper and gets it off quickly. She doesn’t hunt shots and plays within the offense. She dribbles well with both hands and passes it precisely when she inevitably receives extra attention from the defense. She is long, which helps her rebound and defend multiple positions.

has been having a great season to start her junior year for Cedar Falls high school. Knutson, the Drake women’s basketball commit, scored 22 in their game this past weekend lighting it up from all over the court. She did a great job all game controlling the tempo and keeping everything going at her own pace, not her competitions. She shot very well from the outside while facing a 2-3 zone in the half court. Coming into this season Knutson was ranked as one of the best shooters in the state and still is. She has an efficient shooting stroke with great balance and footwork off of screens. She can pull up off of the dribble or off of the catch against man or a zone depending what the defense plays. In college I will be intrigued to see if she comes in just off the bench as a shooter or as a point guard as well with her ability to handle and distribute.
