Let’s take a look at 5 more players from the Class of 2021 who improved their stock, after outstanding senior seasons. [player_tooltip player_id="159030" first="Madison" last="Cluse"] - 5’11 Forward - Nordonia An ultimate mismatch, Cluse is a true point-forward. She is capable of rebounding the ball at a high rate and then leading the fast break and making plays in transition as a scorer or passer. Her ability to finish through contact, in addition to her quick first step - makes her darn-near impossible to guard with a single defender. After scoring over 16 PPG as a senior - Madison was named an All-Ohioan in Division I. She is heading to Miami of Ohio to play her college basketball. [player_tooltip player_id="91132" first="Nakyah" last="Terrell"] - 5’6 Guard - Canton McKinley It was quite the year for Terrell - a High Point commit. She averaged 17.3 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.4 APG and 2.3 SPG for the Bulldogs. A 4-year performer - Nakyah was named player of the year by the coaches in the Federal League and District 4. A lightning quick guard - Terrell takes care of the basketball, while scoring at all 3 levels in the half court and creating havoc defensively in the full court. She is a prime example of a lead guard who makes her teammates better. [player_tooltip player_id="91126" first="Bailee" last="Smith"] - 5’6 Guard - Maysville Smith was one of the state’s leading scorers - averaging 26.4 PPG to go with 5.6 RPG and 3.4 SPG. A superb athlete with good strength and a college-ready frame - Bailee will fit in well in West Liberty’s run-and-gun system the next 4 years. Her motor and ability to make 50-50 plays throughout the course of a game are so valuable - she is the kind of player that every championship team has. Smith finished her career with over 1800 career points. [player_tooltip player_id="91135" first="Brooklyn" last="Troyer"] - 5’8 Guard - Waynedale It could be argued that there wasn’t a single player who did more for their team in the state of Ohio - than [player_tooltip player_id="91135" first="Brooklyn" last="Troyer"] did for Waynedale, on the way to the Final 4. Brooklyn is listed as a guard - but did a lot of her damage around the rim - posting up smaller defenders or driving by them and finishing with contact. She does have the ability to knock down the 3 and shoots it very confidently. The Wayne County Athletic League Player of the Year and All-Ohio selection is heading to play at Malone next year. [player_tooltip player_id="267960" first="Abby" last="Carter"] - 5’11 Guard - Eastlake North Carter finished her outstanding career with a bang. She averaged 16.9 PPG, 8.8 RPG and 2.5 SPG as a senior, on her way to All-Ohio honors. The Akron University commit has always been able to score the basketball. She causes a lot of issues for opponents with her long arms and athleticism as a perimeter defender and shot blocker. Abby has range on her 3-pointer and adds court vision that every coach loves.
