Aria improved in a ton of ways this past season, and you can see the growth not just in her stats but in how she carries herself on the court. Her confidence and understanding of her role were obvious. Mazza has a ton of skill and has proven to be an impactful combo guard. While she leans more toward the SG side, I think a program could get a lot out of her at the PG spot as well.

Mazza has been one of the biggest standouts over the first half of the season. Her ability to shoot the ball at a high clip has opened up a ton of opportunities for other players on Benet, and they look like a whole new team from last year. Benet just capped off a strong Christmas tournament with a championship, and it’s clear that Mazza has been key to the team’s strong 14-1 start to their season.

An argument can be made on if Aria has so far been the most improved player. However, I believe she just needed a year to figure it out. Mazza is back to her role of being the first option to score the ball, and she’s been key to why Benet is favored to bring home a state title. A 3-level scorer who has taken her defensive abilities to another level as well.

Mazza has done a good job of putting herself in different roles on programs that showcase everything she can bring to a college team. From a scoring perspective, there’s not much she can’t do with the ball. Her handles are strong and solid, and her craftiness aligns perfectly with her athleticism. Defensively, she’s as tough as you need your starting guard to be. Excited to see her back in a dominant role with Benet this year. Such a high ceiling.

today, I was impressed with how she flies around the court on both ends. Her ability to play on or off the ball was on full display today, as she was creating a lot of something out of nothing. Watching her team fly up and down the court was exciting to watch with her as their lead guard.

to the pack. Aria’s skillset will allow her to play multiple roles, play on and off the ball, and will add a ton of spacing to a very versatile team. She can score from the 3 to the paint and her craftiness will be utilized as well. On the defensive side of the ball, she’ll bring her speed and quickness. This young team will be competitive this season.

Mazza has taken her talents to Benet Academy, and seems to fit right in. Crafty on the paint attack, knockdown shooter from the mid to the arc, and uses her size to stay low on the defensive side and cause havoc. Mazza can score in bunches or she can facilitate for 5+ straight possessions and not have a drop off.

Aria has an elevated grasp on game play and playing it well. The Conant sophomore led her team to a Regional Final for the first time in 8 years. The direction she delivers on the court helped her team achieve that goal. She does this by creating shots for herself and teammates. She scores with polish and fluidity. Her ball handling skills, motor and patience allow her to read the court and anticipate successful execution.

A high-IQ Point Guard with exceptional on-court leadership skills, Mazza makes everybody around her better. She is a reliable ball-handler who constantly scans the floor for a play to be made and often makes sound decisions with few turnovers. Aria is a knock-down shooter from beyond the three-point line and keeps defenders off balance with her quick change of direction and ability to make shots off the dribble.
