A Des Moines Roosevelt prospect, Davison recently wrapped up an impressive freshman campaign with the Roughriders, and credits her success to a strong work ethic.
“My skill set and strengths currently are just being very hardworking, communicating, and being a team player,” she said. “When it comes to skill set, I like to drive or always looks for the better shot or play.”
Davison added: “The things I need to improve on the most this summer are my shot and my handles, especially my 3 pointer.”
Davison averaged 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game for Roosevelt this season. She was a regular starter for the 8-12 ‘Riders.
“My freshman year at Roosevelt was good, and it was a great experience that showed me what I needed to work on,” she said. “This year, I feel like my role was to help bring up the ball and get to the basket while being able to lock down my defender.”
She’s now into her grassroots season, where she’ll play with All Iowa Attack 15U.
“My plans for AAU are to improve on my shot and to get in better shape and to get to a higher level with my game,” said Davison.
“The expectations I have for myself are to play my game like I know how to and hopefully catch a couple of college coaches’ eyes, because I’m gonna work very very hard on my game and just work hard in general.”
