Amiya Joyner Amiya Joyner 6'3" | PF Farmville Central | 2022 State #67 Nation NC (Farmville Central, 2022) came right out showing her dominance on the court catching the ball at the elbow and moving her defender down to the basket to score two points. She was effective at rebounding the ball making sure her opponents weren’t getting many second chance opportunities. She took matters into her own hands taking a rebound coast to coast for some points on a fast break. Her size and athleticism are going to be fun to watch at East Carolina next season.
Jahnyah Willoughby (Farmville Central, 2022) was all over the court diving on the floor for loose balls and breaking ankles with her ball handles. She didn’t shy away from getting inside to grab rebounds even scoring off of offensive boards. Her defense was top notch knocking the ball away from her opponents, and she even had much needed stop with a five second violation gaining the possession back for her team. She had a nice reverse layup giving her team some life in the fourth quarter.
Jasmine Nivar Jasmine Nivar 5'6" | SG Apex Friendship | 2025 State NC (Apex Friendship, 2025) came to play today coming right out scoring by the hoop and showing off her range from deep. She was crashing the board grabbing rebounds, too, making sure her team had the most possession time. She remained a calm leader for her team handling the ball and controlling the tempo of the game.
Seini Hicks Seini Hicks 6'0" | SF Purcell Marian | 2024 State OH (Julius Chambers, 2024, feature photo) came right in the game ready to make an impact with her rebounds already racking up five off the bench in just the first quarter. She had a nice spin around to a jumper off of an offensive rebound showing her strength, and she was really jumping over her opponents to grab the boards. She had back to back buckets tying the game late in the fourth quarter for the Cougars helping lead their comeback.
Jaleiah Gibson (Salisbury, 2022) was a rebounding machine constantly extending plays on offense and ending possessions on the defensive side of the ball. She knew how to get the ball out and up the court quickly off of these boards. Her hands were knocking the ball away with deflections on defense, too.
