Checkout my scouting reports and analysis on some of the top performers on the second day of the Prep Girls Hoops Dynasty Classic in Houston, Texas this weekend! Look for these ladies to keep their stocks moving up as we dive deeper into the live period! Ivy Oliver 2026 5'8 Spring Branch MS, TX (Just Play Elite 2026 Ellesse) Ivy is a skilled combo guard who sees the floor at a very high level and always makes good decisions on the court. She has a very consistent jumper off the catch and does well operating as a catch and shoot weapon on the wings and corners. I was very impressed by her ability to get into the teeth of the defense and force a second defender to step up to her. She can innitiate offense and make the right reads from atop the key, and work to create opportunities for her teammates. I loved watching her attack the rim and subsequently living at the free throw line after all of the contact she absorbed. She is a consistent free throw shooter as well! Maria Bello 2027 5'9 Paul Revere MS, TX (Just Play Elite 2026 Ellesse) Maria is an aware wing player who is great at aggressively attacking the defense and putting pressure on them in the paint. I was very impressed by her ability to move without the basketball, and be a constant weapon to cut without the ball but also spot up from the wings. She seemed to always be open with her constant motion, she really confused her opponents and made them keep an extra eye on her which opened up the floor even more for her teammates. Where she impressed me the most was her overall feel for the game she always made the extra pass to set up her teammate for an even better shot opportunity, even after the defense collapsing around her after catching a pass in the paint. Promise Wright 2026 5'3 Millwood Magnet School, OK (Krush Queens 2026) Promise is a lightning quick guard who thrives at shifting the defense and getting her soft floater up and over her defender. She has elite footwork for her age which allows her to euro step around defenders, or spin off her opponent into open space in the lane. Time after time, she seemed to create space when there was very little, which allowed her to score in the paint even despite being one of the smallest players on the court. Wright is another prime example of heart over height, with the energy she is constantly giving off and the confidence she plays with in the lane. Paige Williams 2026 5'6 Kipp MS, OK (Krush Queens 2026) Paige is an aggressive wing player who lives in the paint and the offensive glass. I was very impressed with her ability to get into the paint with a live dribble, as well as using her size to high point rebounds and quickly go up for a second chance opportunity. She plays the game angry with how she drives the basketball, but has skill in finishing in at the rim. She possess great touch on the ball and a real ability to spin it and use finesse to finish in the paint. I would like to see her work on smartly staying aggressive on the defensive side of the ball, at times she slides over and does not stay vertical as a help defender. As soon as she swings her arms down most of the time it is a foul, but once she begins to have the game slow down for her with more reps, this should iron itself out with time! Estrella Star 2026 6'2 Belle Isle MS, OK (Krush Queens 2026) Estrella is a dominant big with great size and ability to rebound the ball. She was great at high pointing the ball and coming up with rebounds on both ends of the court. She is a good defensive big as well, with a real ability to stay vertical and affect shots. She holds her ground and always makes life difficult to score over the top of her. I would like to see her work on her ability to be more aggressive down low, especially with the ball. She could use some more strength in her hands as well to hold onto the ball, and also work on keeping the ball high and out of her opponent's grasp. At times she brings the ball down too low and allows her opponents to get their hands on it.
