The best havoc causer in the Class of 2028 and arguably regardless of class in Oklahoma. Will be among the state's leaders in steals and blocks, which some of it could be marked down to playing small school ball. However her dominating performances during grassroots season are good evidence that she would still be swatting shots and picking off passes like a defensive back at a high rate in Class 6A. What takes her defensive capabilities to another level, is how quickly she turns those moments into offense. With rapidly improving vision and touch on passes. Or just good old fashion speed to take it coast to coast in the blink of an eye.

Tucker has the clamps to lock up just about anybody in Oklahoma. If an opposing ball handling has even a split second lapse with the ball, odds are Tucker will pounce and take it. Then she's off to the races with her track speed. Has started to expand her game on offense as an exciting, playmaking lead guard. But it starts on the defensive end, especially with the pride and poise she plays with.

With an amazing wingspan, Baker plays much bigger than her listed height. Which also makes her among the best shot blockers in the class. Capable of swatting shots at the rim, or even getting pieces of shots when hustling after quicker guards. Another important aspect of defense is rebounding to end possessions, and Baker also excels at cleaning up the glass. While she is still refining her offensive skills, the impact she makes on the defensive end is undeniable. The Lady Eagle is ready for a big sophomore campaign.

It's probably not allowed for a McCalister to play at Del City and not take pride on the defensive end. Just like her older brothers, McCalister is a quick and smart defender. She gets low in her stance and slides her quick feet with the best of them. Which she often does for all 94 feet, all while understanding help line principles. Leading to steals and buckets from herself and her teammates. Del City is turning into a regular at the Class 5A State Tournament. With sophomores Baker and McCalister bringing it on the defensive end, expect that to continue.

An instinctive and tough defender from Eastern Oklahoma. It's a running theme when the PGH staff sees Ellingberg that she's bringing it on the defensive end. Her quick hands are the best examples of the instincts she has, capable of steals and even battling around the rim. Plays strong with those quick hands when she's rebounding in traffic. Because she's based outside the metro ares of Oklahoma, she's a bit of a sleeper prospect. But the production and aggressive mindset she brings to the court are loud.

Look for Daniels to step into a bigger role for the 5A contending Lady Hornets. Her quickness and tenacity as an on the ball defender will make her a handful on defense. She plays defense with her feet, capable of applying full court pressure that makes opposition have to turn multiple times while bringing it up. Also works hard off the ball in the halfcourt too. Daniels is fundamental sound on the defensive end, but can gamble and pick pockets for steals. A hustling Daniels this winter should be an energy spark for BTW.
