Menendez has never been one to hesitate from beyond the arc, and in yesterday’s game, she was automatic from the outside. She gets the perfect arc and has the smoothest release on her shots, and never seems phased by a closeout or having anyone near her. Benet looks like a state title winning team, and I’m sure Macy will have an impact once they get there.

Menendez has been under the radar, but this kid can SHOOT, and she doesn’t seem afraid of the moment, and doesn’t seem to be afraid to miss… which is a talent within itself. She has a high arc and a quick release, and can be a strong piece for an offense that is heavy motion focused.

Regardless of size, this kid is a go-getter, and from the outside, she’s about as impactful as a shooter can be—fluid with a quick form. Her floater seems to be her go-to move when getting into the paint, and she can get there on almost every drive. Strong potential.

Macy had arguably the best shooting performance from the top 250 last weekend. The fluidity, confidence, effortless and no doubt attitude she displays when shooting the ball was fun to watch. From the line and beyond, Menendez is no one to leave open.

The question is not what Macy did at the showcase but what didn’t she do? This kid can PLAY. She is a spot-on shooter from beyond the arc-I stopped counting how many 3s she made. What highlights her accuracy in shooting is her quick release. Moves through defenders like a warm knife cutting butter.

Macy seemed to get stronger as the day went on. Definitely has a high motor. Nice shooting range and a quick first step make her tough to defend. Shot release is quick but not rushed. Knocked down some 3’s with defenders in her face too. Understands offensive spacing well. Defensively has quick hands. Moves feet well.
