What is your outlook on your upcoming season?u003c/emu003ernrn-My AAU Summer was a blast! I traveled to many states where I played against tough competition, which made my team closer as a unit, and helped me grow individually as a player! My HS summer league consisted of one tournament. I saw major growth in my game as well as my teammates. It was easy to see where we improved since last school season. As we played through each game in the tournament, we adapted to our new strengths individually and as a team getting us to the championship game. The way my team finished the tournament, has me convinced that this incoming year is definitely gonna be an exciting experience for us. I can see us achieving even more than last years run.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atu003c/emu003ernrnu003cemu003e-u003c/emu003eThings about my game and what I bring to my team is the mentality to keep calm in tough situations, and to find ways to get the ball through the basket the best way it can. I am a competitor that has learned through many years of playing that there is always a chance to come back from any deficit if you believe in yourself and trust your teammates.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are you looking for in a school beyond HS?u003c/emu003ernrn-My interests in schools go beyond the fact of just wanting the best team in the area. I would like to go to a school that will help me develop my game and my character on and off the court. I want a team that is close/family oriented. I would like to go somewhere that I am needed. I want to help the team win! I want to be that missing puzzle piece that will put the team together.rnrnu003cemu003eHave you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?u003c/emu003ernrn-I've had contact with many Coach's but these are the ones I've been going back and forth with such as,  Judson University, Colorado College, New Mexico highlands university, Eastern Wyoming college, Rocky Mountain college, Wheaton college, [program_tooltip program_id='716198' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714514' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713132' first='[program_tooltip program_id='716198' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714514' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713132' first='[program_tooltip program_id='716198' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714514' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713132' first='Pacific' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last='']' last=''] Lutheran university.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?u003c/emu003ernrn-Before stepping into the next level I would like to improve my body's stamina, but also get it to the stage of which my body can handle the contact that comes with college basketball. I would like My body's frame to get bigger and stronger before it can lead me to my next step.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["502386"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"u003cemu003eHow do you think your AAU u0026amp; HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?u003c/emu003ernrn-I think it went very well for me. I learned a lot about myself as a player, and what I need to stay consistent on to be successful while playing. I also showed myself I can work through the highs and lows of basketball. I am super excited about my upcoming season, and feel confident. I'm very excited to get going and do the best I can.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atu003c/emu003ernrn-Something I think stands out about my game is my ability to score at all three levels. I am not a huge player, but i can use my strength to go inside and be successful. Another thing I think stands out about my game is my intensity, it doesn't necessarily show in the books but affects the game.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are you looking for in a school beyond HS?u003c/emu003ernrn-I am looking for a tight knit team, that has a family feel. A competitive environment with people who are also my good, close friends.rnrnu003cemu003eHave you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?u003c/emu003ernrn-I have been in contact with schools at all levels and sizes.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?u003c/emu003ernrn-I want to improve my outside game more on the ball handling side. It is something I see as a weakness of mine, and want to be able to bc successful more as an outside player.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["318641"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"u003cemu003eHow do you think your AAU u0026amp; HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?u003c/emu003ernrn-For my AAU team, we had a strong outing in California, Arizona, and Chicago… only losing twice in all those tournaments. We look forward to our last tournament in Roseville, CA this coming weekend. On my Kamiak team, we had some surprisingly good wins and games. We ended up registering last minute at the Baden Summer Jam Showcase, and although we didn't win any games, I think we had a strong showing… only losing by a couple points against state contending teams in 3A and 4A. I think this new roster of small, but fast/athletic guards will help us win our conference in WESCO 4A and reach our goal to make it to the Tacoma Dome.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atu003c/emu003ernrn-I think some things that stand out when I play is the encouragement and positivity I spread throughout both teams. Being an undersized guard, coaches can't really see your true character through film or just a write-up. I think the energy I bring on the court is very consistent. It helps when I'm always looking to create for others and myself. I feel that I'm very trusted especially with the ball, so that makes the game much easier for everyone to be involved and how my teammates love to work with/around me.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are you looking for in a school beyond HS?u003c/emu003ernrn-Personally, I'm looking for a college that excels in the STEM program. I plan on majoring in engineering and getting a masters degree. I'm not sure which one specifically yet; It is between mechanical or aerospace. On the basketball side, I'm looking for a program that includes hard-working players but also has a good vibe so that chemistry comes easy within the team. I don't have a preference when it comes to playing style. I think that's what separates me from other guards, the ability to still succeed as a point guard whether the program likes to push the ball or run set plays at half-court.rnrnu003cemu003eHave you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?u003c/emu003ernrn-The recruiting process started off well, with my first call with Eastern my freshman year. Throughout the years, I've been invited to and attended camps on the west coast. However, I've had opportunities to attend camps on the east coast, such as Columbia University. Playing on the east coast is a big dream of mine yet it's tough to put myself out there since the farthest east my club team travels to is Chicago. Some schools I still talk to are Northwest Nazerene, Columbia, Idaho St, UC Santa Barbara, and Cal Poly. However most of those schools are not looking for the guard positions in my class anymore… so really finding a program that is still recruiting a point guard is key and partly luck since most colleges and coaches are strictly looking for forwards and centers. I'll most definitely start contacting schools that are recruiting my positions before HS season starts, and even for this last AAU tournament.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?u003c/emu003ernrn-I'm mostly improving/working on my general strength. As an undersized point guard, again, I'm matched up against girls 3-4 inches taller than me. Especially when I play at the next level, I'm going to have to build much more muscle to make up for height when these players are just as fast or athletic as me. Obviously I'll have to find the happy medium of becoming stronger without losing my quickness or explosiveness since that's a major part and also an advantage in my game. I've already gained 3 pounds (hopefully of muscle) since the spring. I look forward to keep gaining muscle and weight but it'll be hard since I also run cross country and track which requires a lighter stature. Other than that, expanding my range and consistency on the court since it'll be required in college but it'll also help pose me as a bigger threat so I could help create more shots and opportunities for others on my club and high school team.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["649102"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"u003cemu003eHow do you think your AAU u0026amp; HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?u003c/emu003ernrn-Summer league went very well for my high school team we played some tough competition and beat really good teams. We beat some of the top teams in state such as Garfield, Lakeside, Lake Washington, and Mead. I think we proved that we will be one of the top teams next season. AAU has also been very good, as this is my last AAU season we've been able to go out in each tournament and prove are selves and continue to compete. As we are all trying to show out for coaches at our tournaments we still continue to play like a team and not let the pressure get to us.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atu003c/emu003ernrn-Some things that stand out in my games is my threat as a scorer. I am a very confident shooter and will take a shot whenever I am open and I can create my own shots, whether that's driving to the hoop or a pull up jumper. I also think I have a strong presence on defense that shows in my game. I always am locked in and aggressive to stop the offense from scoring.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat are you looking for in a school beyond HS?u003c/emu003ernrn-What I am looking for in school beyond high school is a strong program with a good coaching staff. I am looking to compete at the division one level.rnrnu003cemu003eHave you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?u003c/emu003ernrn-Yes I have been in contact with a few schools such as Saint Mary's college, Northern Arizona, UC Davis, and Eastern WA.rnrnu003cemu003eWhat do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?u003c/emu003ernrn-What I want to improve is becoming a more shifty guard and continuing to improve every aspect of my game.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64b38617b6e1f"} /-->

I decided to ask some players within the 2024 class and the state of Washington now that the season is approaching. I reached out to some players and asked them 5 questions about their summers, the upcoming season, and what their recruiting process is looking like as of right now.
