Let’s start off with Team 1 right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State all year long. #RecruitThePalmettoState
Gerald made the move this off season from Palmetto Scholars over to West Ashley HS. Lacy will look to play both guard spots in the backcourt this season. Gerald was able to connect on a handful short jumpers here today. She plays the game at a very even keel and never seems to be in a rush.
Lucas is a legit back to the basket post player down in the paint. Samara has no problems mixing it up and playing through contact at times. She was able to connect on a few jumpers today from a short distance. Lucas can put the ball on the deck for a handful of dribbles and try to get by bigger defenders.
Sanders a left-handed guard was a late addition to the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo on the day of the event. Saniya is a left-handed guard who seems to play her best basketball at times on the defensive end of the floor. She jumped on the floor for a few loose balls today and had no problems collecting a few bruises along the way. Saniya likes to chat it up at times and stay vocal on the floor.
Sanders will have a new address this season over at Goose Creek HS. She played last season at Cathedral Academy.

Waite was able to set up shop at times out on the perimeter. She did feel comfortable handling the rock up the floor at times. Isabel connected on a few short jumpers for her efforts today.
Thomas a left-handed guard from the Midlands had strong freshman season ago for the Lady Bengals. Chase is crafty with the ball in her hands at times and has a knack for scoring it. Thomas can simply drive the ball to the cup or look and pull-up for the perimeter jumper.
Pouyat will never no whelm you with what she does on the floor. She’s not a flashy player at all but she does play the game at a steady pace. Paige will make the extra pass to a teammate or simply look to connect on an open jumper. Pouyat plays the game within her skill set and basketball feel.

Garvin brings a lot of toughness and grit to the floor for her team. Kaityln was constantly on the floor today with her play. She lives for 50/50 balls and a reason to jump on the deck it seems. She will look to overpower defenders on the way to the rack. Garvin never looks to take a play-off while in the game.
Highlights
Emma contributed minutes at the 8th grade level for the West Ashley HS Lady Wildcats. Elliott is best used as a spot-up shooter from out on the perimeter and behind the arc. Emma at times today was able to switch hands going to the rack to finish drives.
Bulford was a pleasant surprise today with her play. Marissa was able to connect on some short jumpers for her squad. She constantly was around the ball to make a play. Bulford stepped up to the challenge when called upon today with her play.
Pensule made a solid first impression on us here at Prep Girls Hoops. Ava surely played confident from behind the arc. She connected on some three pointers with her accurate shooting from downtown. Ava was able to get her shot off without a hitch and always seemed to be pocket ready to receive the ball.
