Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like playing an uptempo game on offense, and physical man to man defense. My athleticism allows me to get up and down the court with the "bigs" as well as with smaller/quick perimeter players. On offense, I'd describe my shot selection as perimeter 3s, and driving to the hoop for mid range shots and layups. At 6'0", I defend perimeter wings and inside power 4s and 5s.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I think my friends would describe me as goal oriented, compassionate, and having a good sense of humor. I push myself to meet personal goals, while I embrace and support my teammates to reach team goals. On the court, I work to get better during each practice or game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As a Christian, I'm actively involved at church. In addition, my dad and I occasionally go to inner city parks to bring lunch to those who are down on their luck, are drug addicted, or just need help. Salpointe H.S. believes in the importance of community service. Each year I complete a minimum of 40 Salpointe supported community service hours.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Whether academically at school, or when playing ball, my mindset is always to excel. I've been blessed with natural leadership skills that I've applied at school, on club teams, and with my H.S. teammates. At Salpointe, we have several D1 and D2 seniors that are great role models in the areas of leadership and character. I'm continuing to learn.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Early in my childhood, I was raised by my drug addicted biological mother. After being removed from her custody twice by Child Protective Services, I was adopted by my mom and dad. In spite of my early challenges, with the help of my mom and dad (and counseling), I overcame a rough start to become the person I am today. I know the blessings that come from perseverance and working through trials.

What type of college are you looking for?

I haven't selected a major or minor yet. In general, I'm interested in attending a school with strong academic standards. As far as basketball goes, I'd like to attend a school where I can make a positive difference in the trajectory of its women's basketball team.
