We’ve already talked about the seniors who are looking to finish their high school careers with a bang, so let’s take a look at some juniors who are going to make a jump in their stock.
Brooklyn Saunders is a fun point guard to watch because she gets after it 100% of the time on the court. She’s shifty with her moves getting to the rim easily, and she can set herself up to knock down the shot from deep. She hustles after loose balls making sure her team has a chance for the possession, and her court vision is apparent at all times being able to find her open teammates leading them to the open spot.
Jamyrah Cherry has a new home this year taking her ability to make plays on all levels to Salisbury. She can get inside making moves in the paint battling against anyone trying to stop her. She does a nice job stepping outside handling the ball, and she is an asset coming up to set screens rolling to get the open look. She’s tough on defense being able to guard a range of players protecting the basket and using her length to block some shots.

Kaylin McKoy is another athlete who has a new home this high school season taking her sharp shooting with her. She is very fluid with the ball knowing how to use crossovers to make her defenders lose their balance as she gets by them, or she can step back and knock down her shot from all over the court. She isn’t afraid to force her way to the rim finishing through contact.

Sidney Blackwell is an athlete who does everything for her team from getting inside for rebounds to knocking down shots around the perimeter to handling the ball facilitating offensive plays. She has an arsenal of moves that she can use to create her own space and score some points. She consistently gets in the way on defense, too, deflecting passes and grabbing boards.
Isa Roman is a new face in the class of 2025, and we are excited to have an extra year of watching her play here in North Carolina. The sharp shooter will definitely cause trouble for her opponents, and she always keeps her eyes peeled up the court looking for her open teammates on fast breaks. She knows how to control the tempo of each game slowing the pace when it’s time to reset or pushing the tempo when she finds her teammates winning the race up the court.
