Chicago Hoops Express 17U needed a powerful performance from their star forward to close out a gritty opponent and they got it. Keyera used her length, mobility, and athleticism to solidify the advantage inside, rotating from the help side to block multiple shots and force misses. She demonstrated excellent passing vision, dishing out assists from the high post, and not forcing the issue. Keyera finished well off two feet, drove hard to the basket to earn trips to the free throw line, and scored the go ahead bucket in the closing seconds of regulation. She continued to make her mark later in the day, pivoting to score over long defenders with great touch in the paint, grabbing offensive rebounds, and added an emphatic swat after anticipating a euro-step move on a drive.

Gamble has carved her own name this season and has put everyone on notice. She is coming into her stride, knowing when to use her length and when not to. Defensively, she can still be your paint blanket and cause hesitation for guards attacking the rim. Offensively, that’s where I believe she has made a bigger leap, and confidence is the foundation of that. Besides having coaches who allow her to make mistakes, she’s showing where she is comfortable.. mainly in the low post area, the open floor, but she also has the skill to stretch the court when needed.

Gamble has been a key part of Trinity’s success this season. She plays well in the post, and has a great bag of post moves to score the ball. Keyera can also play on the perimeter, working within the flow of the offense. She crashes the boards hard, and plays hard. Keyera is an exciting sophomore.

A solid player with great upside. She moves well for her size and can defend and rebound outside her area. Rebounding is one of her standout skills, along with being a particularly good shot blocker. She also gets her share of steals for a post player. She runs the floor well and finishes high around the rim. A high upside player who is also productive right now, she continues to show growth each time out. Her physical tools combined with effort make her a long-term impact prospect.

The frame alone allows Gamble to have an immediate impact on the floor on both ends. Offensively, she does most of her damage from the nail down, but the midrange ability is there, and the confidence is there to take it. Defensively, she can deal with perimeter players, and in the paint, she can be a true relief for guards who get beaten. Strong upside.

The length and aggression stand out immediately, and it’s definitely noticeable when she’s working in the paint. Her moves are simple, but they’re effective. Whether it’s a punch dribble to get a better position or a simple catch and turn. Defensively, she will alter, block, or stop a majority of shots that come to the paint. Active and aware.

Gamble’s length and athleticism at first glance are what will get you to keep a close eye, and then when you see the energy and motor that she uses on the boards, you can start to see how she can be an impactful piece to a program, even if scoring the ball isn’t needed from her for that possession or game. This trinity team will definitely utilize her length on both sides, and the defensive end of it will come naturally. A for sure player to keep an eye on overtime.

Gamble already has the length that college coaches are looking for, and her defense in the low post is another reason why she’s a interesting prospect. She’s a paint blanket that knows how to alter, block, contest, and challange shots without fouling.

Good post frame, extremely long and lanky, allows her to defend well in the paint and protect the passing lanes. Very active both inside and out. Can be a force on the boards.

Gamble has been getting by on pure athleticism, and now the skill is starting to show. She’s one of those athletes with a strong enough motor to make an impact in every area beyond just scoring. She’s active in the passing lanes, crashes the boards, and has the potential to defend positions 2-4.
