is a versatile small forward with the strength to battle inside with the bigs, but also the lateral quickness to defend out beyond the 20-foot mark. She showed her ability to stretch the floor by knocking down a couple of threes this weekend making the defense respect heroutside shooting.
She also displayed strong passing skills from the high post, making reads that would fit well in an high post Princeton type offense. Ava handled the ball well, showing she can secure a rebound and push the break herself.
She’s an aggressive rebounder on both ends, especially on the offensive glass where she converted multiple put-backs. Ava made a great impression in front of coaches this weekend as I would expect more offers to come her way.

A power forward with smooth, fundamentally sound footwork on the block. She uses controlled, strong dribbles to feel the defense and reads it well before making her move. A quick spin move for the finish, using her arm bar effectively to protect the ball against taller defenders.
She has a nice mid-range game, shooting a high percentage from the short corner and high post areas. Shown the ability to stretch the floor, knocking down shots from the deep corner in game film.
Defensively, she demonstrates a strong understanding of positioning and timing on the block, focusing on contesting shots without fouling. She is an excellent help defender, willing to rotate, support teammates, and step in to take charges.
A skilled forward who is drawing interest from several small college programs.

A powerful forward that has very soft touch in the paint that makes her a very efficient player in the paint. Smooth footwork on the up and under move. Takes her time in reading what the defense gives her, never seemed rush on her moves. Mid-range jumpers along with attacking the rim from the high post wore out any zone defense. Listed again as a power forward Ava showed the outside jumper from 3-point area to demand respect. Possible matchup for opposing teams as she can post up a small guard or take a larger defender off the dribble.
Solid defender on the inside as she can bang among the Big’s Long and quick enough to defend that 3 guard on the outsider. Excellent rebounder on both ends. Key an eye on 2027 this summer.

Hybrid forward prospect, who simply produces. No matter the level of competition. Stayed active on the offensive glass, with great touch as a scorer around the rim. Muscled through and out worked taller players. Good footwork and strong play also apparent on post ups and face up moves. Later in the second half, showed off her offensive hub passing abilities. Making feeds from the perimeter, or operating in the high post to feed cutting teammates. Grinder.

Slagle is a scorer and producer, with a Jack of All Trades feel to her game. She can spot up from three, especially the corner to provide shooting. Need somebody to crash the glass? Slagle will do that too. On the offensive end in particular, as she racks up the second chance points. Plays with the same toughness with helping to contest shots on defense. And also forcing steals. The Berryhill Maiden also looks more mobile and skilled overall. Boding well for her work to develop into more of a 3/4 hybrid forward prospect.

Slagle is a “Bet on Production” prospect. She’s skilled, tough and finds ways to produce. Especially as she is starting to expand her all around game, with better handles. The improvements there are leading to her being more of a 3/4, and a potential match up nightmare. She’s too strong for guards and crafty enough to attack taller players off the bounce.
She’s also smart off the ball mover. Sets good screens and rolls with fluidity and purpose to the basket. Wasn’t the best shooting performance for her in the game watched, but previous viewings have indicated the three point shooting is firmly part of her bag.

Nice height at 5’11 for the 3-4 position on the floor. The movement without the ball stood out the games I watched continuing to make things happen for her team. Showed the capabilities to knock down the 3-point shot by consistently making several. Good hands on the back cuts making herself available for the easy layups. Good enough handles to help break the pressure against a full court press. A 2027 that got varsity experience last season as a starter.
Earned All Conference last season.

Ava filled up the box-score too much to not nab one of our Top 10 slots. Very complete game at the 4. She’s been labeled as “Miss Productive” by other Oklahoma scouts and I think that is very apt, just finds a way to produce at a high level constantly. One of the big stock-risers of the summer.

Ava would have been one of the leading scorer’s of the day. Stays after her shots and others. Strong inside player with three-point range. Excellent post defender but switches onto guards well. Was able to convert on some and-1’s, really tough finisher.

Miss Productive for JYD was her usual self in a Saturday morning win. She knocked in three pointers, while also going to work around the paint. Her patience in the midst of chaos allows her to draw fouls, or use a pumpfake or angle to come out of a scrum with a clear shot at the rim. Which those shots went in much more often than they didn’t. Slagle is an unique prospect who will be a “bet on production” for college coaches down the road. And it’s likely to be a successful bet for those coaches.
