The DCG Mustang always bring a seasoned product to the floor when it matters. Someone from this group that is going to be looked upon for a good amount of production over the next two years is SG – Samantha Reis Samantha Reis SG Waukee | 2027 IA . Reis just recently received an NAIA offer to Grand View out of Des Moines. Reis is slowly building on her game day-by-day. She comes from a family of natural shooters so that part of things is very experienced but she is also learning how to really think about the game from a different level. This Winter is going to be an exciting one all around and I can’t wait to see how Reis responds to that.

At DCG, Samantha Reis Samantha Reis SG Waukee | 2027 IA is her team’s SG, that is not afraid to let it go in any given moment offensively. Reis comes from a family of shooters and she has always worked on this skill so this comes as no surprise really. Over her next three Varsity seasons, she will have to show that she can handle the ball under pressure, while being able to facilitate to other open teammates but a majority of the time, she is going to be looking for catch-and-shoot situations in the grand scheme of things. This Mustangs team is always legit so I’m sure Coach Jones is well aware of the situation and working to make Reis the best that she can be with the tools around her.

“You can tell that Sam Reis wanted to shoot the basketball from deep whenever she has an open opportunity and she is pretty accurate while doing so. She will have to expand her game if she wants to really kill it out on the hardwood but she does show promise in a few different categories of the game thus far. She has a picture perfect shooting stroke, she can put the ball on the floor a little bit, she is a sound passer, and she doesn’t make too many mistakes. Overall, she is still someone to keep an eye on moving into her Sophomore season with the Mustangs.”

Samantha Reis Samantha Reis SG Waukee | 2027 IA has a long way to go before she is going to reach her full potential but she has demonstrated the ability to shoot the leather off of the basketball at this point, just like her older sister use to for the Mustangs. As long as Reis continues to work hard into her future and she expands her game to a few other levels, she could be a big piece for the Mustangs future at the end of the day. Like I said, she comes from a family that stays dedicated and understands how to play the game the right way so over time, I expect her to step up in a big way for her program before everything is said and done with her high school career.
