On June 14th, 96 teams from throughout the West Coast met at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona for the annual Section 7 Summer tournament.

These are some of the Arizona high school players that stood out to the Prep Girls Hoops Arizona staff.

[player_tooltip player_id='443661' first='Olivia' last='Owens'] Phoenix Country Day

Top two-way guard in the AIA showed it all before she got injured. Scored from all three levels and made her teammates better.

[player_tooltip player_id='837250' first='Addison' last='Wiemann'] Sunrise Mountain

A strong inside out threat can seal and go to work and then step out and shoot the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='673101' first='Demetria' last='Dosela'] Miami

A combo forward with versatility to handle it, defend multiple positions, shoot it and score inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='558895' first='Heather' last='Stedman'] Pinnacle

Easily one of the top shooter viewed on the day. Her catch and shoot game is top of the food chain stuff.

[player_tooltip player_id='663049' first='Lily' last='McCracken'] Notre Dame Prep

A scoring point guard goes thru stretches making it look easy. She scores off the pull or catch and will thread the needle to her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='837359' first='Shannon' last='McIlroy'] Sunnyslope

She is not afraid of the bigger defenders, going right at them and through them at the same time. Three point shot is smooth, splashed multiple threes in transition both in the catch and shoot and off the dribble. Moving the ball well through some tight passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='723419' first='Ava' last='Schooler'] Sandra Day O'Connor

Good finisher, likes to get to the mid-range and pull up, moves the ball around well and looks more like a shooting guard than a point. Can get downhill, a strong defender that keeps everyone in front of her. Took over the game in the second half with her defense that led to easy transition points.

[player_tooltip player_id='660218' first='Shanielle' last='Mallory'] Kellis

Crafty guard who controls the pace of play, Elite shooter who can knock down shots from the perimeter with ease whether it be catch & shoot, off the dribble, and moving off screens. Forced multiple steals with her on-ball pressure and moved the ball around setting her teammates up for easy baskets.

[player_tooltip player_id='751754' first='Dashia' last='Richardson'] Millennium

The most notable thing is the improvement in her jump shot from last season to now. It's more fluid and she's attempting it more consistently. She's coming off screens and cutting much more fluidly. Defensively looks like a pest and is getting into the grill of the opposing players.

[player_tooltip player_id='625055' first='Kinsey' last='Murray'] Valley Vista

One of the best guards in her class. A downhill driver who can finish at the rim over size. Shows an improved touch on her three point shot and can knock it down with ease now. One of the better rebounding guards in the state and plays with tenacity on defense. On ball she provides good ball pressure and is a strong help side defender for her counterpart in the back court.

On June 14th, 96 teams from throughout the West Coast met at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona for the annual Section 7 Summer tournament.
