Ava Jones Ava Jones 6'1" | PF Hutchison | 2026 State TN is one of my favorite athletes to cover.  She’s just an athletic freak that just not putting all the tools together.  She averaged 1.8 blocks last year as a high flying wing.  She also chipped in with 8 points and 5 rebounds.  I’m predicting a breakout year for Jones.

Jones has always been filled with potential, but (as projected here) 23-24 has been Jones’ coming out party!  Jones is averaging a stunning 2.3 blocks per game (top 5 in state), and her 2.32 blocks per foul is among the state leaders. She’s recently put up the following lines:

14pts, 5reb, 2 blocks

16 pts, 5 rebs, 4 blocks

18 pts, 10 rebs, 2 blocks

Ava Jones Ava Jones 6'1" | PF Hutchison | 2026 State TN – 6’1 F White County.  Ava Was a starter and key player for White County as a sophomore in their ultra competitive 3A district.  Ava is a very effective inside player who can also step out and knock it down from outside.  Ava has long arms and plays bigger than she is due to that length, and she is a very effective interior defender who frequently leads her teams in blocked shots.  Ava turned some heads in GUAA battling with taller and heavier players effectively. She also draws a tremendous number of fouls and is an excellent free-throw shooter, often racking up points at the FT line. Ava will be a starter and centerpiece player for the always excellent White County team.

Jones (Jr, C) is a 6’3 defensive menace! Possessing high level length and athleticism,  Jones is one of the premier defensive posts in the state. She can both sit down in a stance and guard, and is also fantastic coming in from the weak side as a shot blocker.  Phenomenal defensive  instincts.

She’s also developed her offensive game to the point where she is a high-level finisher at the rim, and can know step out and knock down jumpers.  She’s a potential D1 kid garnering lots of interest from college coaches.  She is going to blow up this season at White Co.
