As we are more than a week into August, and prospects gradually return to the classroom, I wanted to address a few transfer students we learned of throughout the Summer who should have a major impact on the 2024-2025 season. Some of these were specifically given to us, others were found on social media accounts, or the prospect themselves updated their PGH profile. Below are eight of those ladies who we feel have something to add to their new program. Disclaimer: I did not include 2028s in this article, even if they decided to attend a high school different from the middle school program they attended, because they technically haven't transferred since being in high school. I also did not include a couple of ladies who were seriously injured over the Summer, therefore the beginning of their season (or any season at all) is still in question.

Kimber spent her first three seasons at Monroe Central, scoring 647 points and pulling down 495 rebounds during that time. At 6-3, she has the length, athleticism, and skill to affect the game facing the basket or filling a traditional post position. Most transfers tend to be guards and wings, so for a school of Wapahani's size to be able to add an interior player like Kimber, it should instantly make them a formidable presence. Additionally, she has been committed to Division-I Oakland University near Detroit for some time now.

Soriah began her career at Danville High School in Danville, Illinois. She transferred to Decatur Central in Indianapolis and played her last two seasons there, amassing 543 points and 363 rebounds over that 2-year span. Now, she is headed across town, where Crispus Attucks has picked up multiple transfers and reshaped their roster. Soriah will bring nice versatility to the Tigers as she can play any number of roles & positions. She is a nice athlete, a multilevel scorer, and a solid all-around defender. She is the perfect "plug and play" kid at the high school level.

Gracyn grew up in the Greenwood area, but she ended up in Northwest Indiana and attended Munster High School for two seasons. Now, as a Junior, she returns to Center Grove and brings a major boost of offense to the Trojans. She has already scored nearly 1000 points (943), and she possesses multiple Division-I offers already. Gracyn is a strong, physical wing player, she has good ball skill, the ability to get to the rim and score, plus she is highly underrated in her vision and passing ability. For the Trojans, she will likely play more of a small forward role on a roster filled with guards, but she should be a guard at the collegiate level.

Trinity is a kid you root for, because she has had to deal with injury issues on multiple occasions already. Now, she is headed to McCutcheon after two years at Faith Christian School. When she is healthy, she is a strong, compact, but extremely explosive point guard prospect with tremendous North/South burst. She is an attacking scorer who puts a lot of pressure on defenses, and she can get inside and find open teammates. Additionally, she is a feisty and highly effective on-ball defender who can create havoc for opposing ball-handlers.

Addison grew up in LaPorte, Indiana, but opted to attend La Lumiere Preparatory in LaPorte, rather than LaPorte High School. As a Junior, however, she has transferred to Class 1A State Runner-Up Marquette Catholic in nearby Michigan City. While the Blazers have some quality guards already, most are shooters, scorers, or combo guards. Addison brings the element of a traditional point guard who understands how to run offense, play with pace, facilitate, and handle pressure with poise and patience. She can score, if necessary, plus she's an effortful defender.

Addison and her twin sister Avery (below) were key components to Our Lady of Providence the last two seasons, and they will be missed. However, they now bring their abilities to Eastern, where a traditionally strong program can certainly use the newcomers. Addison is an athletic guard, more of a scorer than anything, but she does have solid ball skill and can play a little point when necessary. She plays with a nice motor, can score it from multiple areas of the floor, plus she is an effortful and capable defender.

Avery is a bit different player than Addison (above), and though Addison jumped out to a hot start as a Freshman, Avery probably had the better Sophomore year. Avery is another nice athlete. She has a hair more size, she's a bit more physical, and she's a nice attacking style of athlete. She is a very good pursuing rebounder and rebounds well for her position. She is extremely active, even at the defensive end of the floor, and she flashes quite a bit of versatility.

Giniya was an East Chicago kid who has moved to nearby Bishop Noll Institute as a Sophomore. She brings a great deal of potential, as she is a nice-sized athlete. She has length, an athletically strong frame, plus she can get out and run the floor. She is very active on the boards, she likes contact, and she can really affect a game at the defensive end of the floor. Offensively, her post skill is coming along, and as she continues piling up the reps, she should develop into a really nice college prospect.
