Garcia is a playmaker that does it all. One of the best guards I had the opportunity to watch in August. A player that can score from mid-range or flat out shoot the ball. She averaged over 20 plus points a game at the Sophomore ID Camp earlier in the month. A player that’s going to bring the noise for her Etowah team this season.

Garcia is a playmaker who does it all. A player that light it up from deep but also get downhill and attack the rim. Her ability to make plays on both ends of the floor is what stood out most. Tough guard who’s not afraid to attack and score through the contact. Floor General.

Smooth and steady with the ball. Long guard who can play on or off the ball. Composed when initiating offense and rarely rattled under pressure. Moves fluidly and reads the floor well. Uses her length defensively to disrupt passing lanes and defend multiple positions. High-ceiling sophomore.

The Wood Elite organization all around had a successful Peach Games weekend – and that includes the Wood Elite E40 15U team. Garcia is part of said roster and she helped her squad get in the win column more often than not. One of the games played was against Mississippi-based The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40. Garcia’s team routed its opponent but she tallied 10 points in what was a very balanced scoring attack. She may be 5-foot-7 and primarily plays in the backcourt but she can help a team’s bigs bolster their rebounding efforts. Opposing teams also have to watch out for her on defense – Garcia had six steals in that contest with The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40.

Garcia did not have far to go to get to Marietta HS given 6A Etowah is only a short distance from the home court of the Blue Devils. Garcia also was part of the offensive onslaught that was too much for The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40 to handle as she placed 10 points on the board. A good bit of those points were via the 3-pointer – she drained two 3-pointers for the game. Garcia is an efficient rebounder and that is complimented by how turnover-prone her defense can leave opposing teams on offense. Garcia was part of an Eagles team that concluded the 2024-25 season with a mark of 21-9.

I loved what I saw from Caitlyn. The freshman has a nice feel for the game. She’s a lanky guard that can play on and off the ball. She seemed comfortable at the point guard position, initiating offensive sets and protecting the ball against pressure. Garcia makes plays off the dribble as a facilitator, seeing the floor and not forcing things. Caitlyn uses her length defensively as a pesky multi-positional defender. Garcia racked up 5 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks vs. Harrison.
