has been that senior leader and guidance this season that the Mount Pleasant Panthers needed on their way to a 9-7 record, with some resume building wins taking place during the process. Lopreato scored a game high 20 points on 8/18 shooting in their 44-35 win against Washington high school this past weekend. Lopreato had her full arsenal on display as she also recorded 18 rebounds in this contest. When we break down the numbers this statically is one of the best games all season throughout Iowa thus far. I say it all the time but this team is going to go as far as Andrea can take them. They run their offense through her, believe in her, and she has shown up in each game this season. Like every other team though once the playoffs start they will really need to think about changing some stuff around to balance out their offensive end attack. If they can do that, with Lopreato’s basketball skill, this team could shock the world and make a nice run into the playoffs before the season comes to the end.

and the Mount Pleasant Panthers recorded a 35 point victory on Monday evening against Danville high school by a final score of 65-30. Lopreato, who has been a dominate force all season, scored a game high 25 points on 10/16 shooting from the field, including 2/4 from behind the three point line and 3/4 from the free throw line. Before this year Andrea was named as a player to watch for her senior season and she is showing off why. Her ability to score the ball and wall up VS the offensive player while she plays defense is impressive. She has a good handle that can be used under pressure to escape a tough situation or get an open teammate a bucket. Her game style comes off as aggressive as she knows that no one is going to be able to stop her while attacking the hoop in the manner she does. When it’s all said and done at the end of this year she could be one of the states leaders in PPG for the 2023 class along with ranking in the top five in a few other categories as well. We will just have to wait and see.

enters this article as the player with the most free throw attempts and makes in the 4A class thus far this season and all while averaging 19.7 PPG, 13.9 RPG, and 2.4 APG. Lopreato has been doing a little bit of everything for her Mount Pleasant Panthers team, who has started this season with a 5-6 overall record going into break. For the Panthers the formula is simple and that is to play through the talents of Lopreato, let her do her thing and make the easy choices. From what I’ve seen so far this year with this team is that they seem to just over-think things a tad bit resulting in a turnover or steal because of their hesitation in those moments. If they were to just keep it simple, play through their star, and take what the defense gives them then I think this group can really surprise some teams as the playoffs approach. As it goes for Lopreato, I anticipate her to keep on killing it and her to stay consistent getting to the line through out the rest of the year.

almost averaged a double double during her junior year for the Mount Pleasant Panthers. Averaging 21.3 PPG on 53.2% shooting, 9.9 RPG, and 4.3 APG, ranking herself in the top 5 for overall scoring out of the 4A class during the 21′-22′ season. Lopreato is a strong scoring guard who likes to create contact and crash the boards with the ability to finish. She will look to lead The Panthers to a more successful record this season after finishing 12-11 overall, 5-5 in conference. Andreas hard work this off-season will help her expand her game and elevate her team to new heights.
