You might not of heard the name Addy Johnson last season at the high school level because she was committed and already playing at Wayne State following her high school career. As of recent, Johnson has entered the portal and she just found her new home in Dakota State for the next two/three years. Johnson is a solid prospect with height, a soft touch, good coordination, and a lot of heart. She works really hard on the inside to make plays as a scoring threat, passer, and defender. If Dakota Valley can make some moves and continue to develop Johnson, she is going to be a handful to deal with over the next couple of seasons to finish off her college basketball career but we will just have to wait and see what happens.

and Westwood High School are coming out of break on a mission. To start off this season, Johnson is holding her own and producing at a high rate because of it. She is currently averaging 59.1% from behind the arc and 65% from the field in general. She also is leading her teams with 7.6 rebounds per game. As you can tell, Johnson is quite the player. Someone that is going to give you a little bit of everything, all while standing with superior size compared to most at 6’0. After this season, Johnson will be suiting up at the D2 level to continue on her basketball journey. I think that she is the type of player that is going to produce wherever she is, so it’s only a matter of time until we hear her name called out a few more times, just next time possibly being at the next level.

and company, they will seek out the same result this season. Johnson, their 6’0 combo forward who can play the 3-5 positions, averaged 18.4 PPG at a 54.2% rate, while securing 9.6 RPG. For her high school team she plays more of a “big” position compared to what she will play in college, where her skillset will allow her to play more of a guard spot for certain programs. She is an efficient scorer off of two feet, is always willing to pass, and has capabilities to stretch the floor and shoot the three when uncontested. In the future it’ll be exciting to see where Johnson ends up after finishing her high school career. It’s a long ways away but with two more seasons left she will definitely be a stock riser as time progresses as she already has interest and offers from the D2 level and up.
