About Aja

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a PG/SG that can initiate the offense and set up my teammates, as well as be a three level scorer. My basketball IQ allows me to quickly recognize what is needed from me in the flow of the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have an extreme competitive and focused mentality with high expectations for myself. I also have a fun personality which allows me to connect with my teammates and coaches.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In 2025, I earned the Mary Nate award. Established in 1976, this award honors students who exemplify: Citizenship, Kindness, Participation, Responsibility, Healthy Habits, Scholastic Achievement and Respect for All.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volunteering at youth basketball camps has helped me build communication, teamwork and leadership skills. As a freshman on the varsity basketball team, I have grown in discipline, adaptability and confidence.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At the beginning on my 8th grade school basketball season I broke my leg and was out for the season. Even though I couldn’t play, I continued to train twice a week with a boot. Being limited forced me to focus on other areas to improve my game. This experience taught me resilience, discipline, and how to stay positive during setbacks.
