Alaya is the younger of the Douglas sister act that first-year Chapin coach Terence Jones looks to utilize in 2025-26. Douglas is an efficient floor runner who understands the arts of attacking the rim and that of making plays in transition. She stands at 5-foot-8. She will be part of an Eagles team that last year concluded its season with a 13-15 record and won its first-round 5A Division 2 tournament matchup against St. James. Douglas has performed consistently at Southeast Elite Showcase events and these performances being done in the regular season will further solidify Chapin as one of the tougher outs in 5A Division 2 play.
