In the next few season I expect Dowling High school to find a good amount of success on the women’s high school basketball court. A big part of that is going to be because of Alex Curtin Alex Curtin 5'10" | SG Dowling Catholic | 2027 IA . Curtin is a decently sized shooting guard with a smart head on her shoulders. She doesn’t settle for shots offensively but instead likes to drive past her defender for an easier look. She already has down a very consistent and effective floater from the middle of the lane once she gets there, showing it on a pretty regular basis at this point. She has a decent handle and does a good job of keeping her head up while dribbling. On both sides of the floor she is a constant producer for her team and I expect to see that continue this spring/summer season, going into her freshman year. If she can keep up the hard work and stay dedicated then it’s tough to see her not being a top player in the 2027 class out of Iowa in the near future.
