We’ve come to expect a lot from Truty, and she never seems to let us down. The 5’9 North Tartan EYBL guard once again looked like one of Minnesota’s premier young shooters at the Freshman Showcase. It’s remarkable how quickly Amelia can receive a pass and launch the ball in one smooth motion. That part of her game reminds us of WNBA standout Kayla McBride, who is one of the world’s best in that aspect. But Truty is more than a shooter. So much more! She already owns the Lourdes’ single-game scoring record with 44 points, surpassing the mark previously held by former North Carolina standout Alyssa Ustby. She plays with excellent basketball IQ, sees the floor extremely well and competes defensively as well as anyone. Most impressive is the confidence and energy she brings every time she steps on the floor. Truty is the real deal.

As a reliable top performer for both Rochester Lourdes and North Tartan ‘s 14U EYBL squad, Truty has already cut her teeth on some big stages. The 5’9 guard is a highly skilled passer and playmaker, a staunch perimeter defender, and can easily take over a game, finding ways to score at all three levels. Add in her elite basketball IQ and her unwavering work ethic on the court, and Amelia begins to look like a top-notch college prospect. Remarkably consistent and poised for her age, Truty shows up for her team night in and night out.
