Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style as a point guard for my school team, I take pride in running the offense, making the right reads, and getting my teammates involved. I set the tone defensively with intense on-ball pressure and hustle plays. When playing shooting guard for Pure Prep, I focus more on scoring, moving off the ball, and knocking down shots. No matter the role, I bring energy and leadership.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a competitive and team-first player who loves to work hard and help my teammates succeed. I take pride in my defense, energy, and leadership on and off the court. No matter the situation, I stay focused, give my best effort, and do whatever it takes to help my team win.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes! I’m involved in Student Council, where I help plan events and make a difference at my school. I’m also earning Silver Cord volunteer hours by giving back to my community. Being active in my youth church group is important to me because it allows me to grow in my faith while helping others. These experiences have helped me become a better leader, teammate, and person.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through Student Council, volunteering, and my youth church group. Student Council taught me collaboration and decision-making, while volunteering showed me responsibility and giving back. My church group helped me grow in faith and support others. These experiences made me a stronger leader and teammate.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge I’ve faced is balancing school, sports, and extracurriculars. I also stepped out of my comfort zone when I switched AAU programs, the fall of my 8th grade year. I had been with my previous AAU team since 2nd grade. This helped me build new relationships and make new teammates. These experiences have taught me to manage my time and grow through change.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college with a strong sense of community, where the athletes and coaches feel like a second family. I want a program that values teamwork, dedication, and passion for the game. I'm seeking an environment where I can grow as an athlete and person while building lasting relationships with my teammates.
