Avery is a physical wing who doesn’t mind mixing it up inside and doing some of the dirty work around the basket. She consistently looked to attack with purpose, seeking out contact rather than shying away from it and showing the strength to finish through defenders. She has good size for the position and used her frame well to create space, protect the ball, and complete plays in traffic. Avery was especially effective when she got downhill, where her combination of size, strength, and aggressiveness made her difficult to contain. She also showed a willingness to battle around the paint, giving her team a versatile presence who can impact the game from the wing while still providing toughness inside. A 5’9″ wing with strong defensive potential, she quickly made herself at home around the three-point line where she sank a total of 14 threes over the weekend.
