Foster effectively ran the offense as the primary ball handler, staying composed in both transition and half-court situations. She pushed the pace when opportunities presented themselves while keeping the offense organized in the half court. Her aggressiveness was rewarded with an and-one finish in transition, which she completed by converting the free throw.

Peyton was very intense on defense and played it with passion. She locked in on her assigned player denying and pressuring the ball relentlessly. She covered a lot of ground on switches and was able to get her hands in for deflections or force the ball handler into mistakes. She seemed poised offensively to be effective at both guard positions and has speed to manage the game at an up-tempo pace.

Peyton is a steady point guard who plays at her own pace, consistently looking to create for her teammates through penetration and timely kick-outs. She brings solid on-ball defense and does a great job reading passing lanes to generate steals, while also showing a willingness to crash the boards and contribute on the glass.

Peyton is a mild-tempered guard who thrives when facing quality competition. She handles the ball effectively with both hands, keeps her eyes up to find open teammates, and can also get downhill and finish at the basket. She is currently averaging five points and four assists per game.

Peyton contributed across the board in Indian Creek’s win on Monday the 8th. In 30 minutes, she scored 12 points and shared point guard duties with efficiency, finishing with seven assists. Defensively, she took on two senior guards and still produced two steals while limiting herself to just two turnovers. She isn’t flashy; she simply plays the game the right way—making sound decisions, keeping the offense organized, and elevating the players around her.

Peyton will have a big opportunity to get plenty of minutes this season at Indian Creek. She’s been running the point during their fall league play and has shown tremendous improvement with her decision making and ability to control the pace of the game and not get sped up. Her ball handling has been good, and she’s been probing defenses, keeping her dribble alive and looking to set up her teammates. When necessary, she has shown that she can make midrange shots and floaters in the paint. If she plays with the same composure in the winter, she’ll be hard to take off the court.
