Brenna shot the lights out of the gym against Spring Mills. She made 5 three-pointers in the win. Nelson continues to be the player that will do whatever it takes to win. She doesn’t have to score to shine, but we know she can shoot. Nelson recently picked up an offer from Fairmont State University to continue her athletic career at the next level. This kid is more than deserving! She continues to play with all heart, and she continues to outwork her opponents. The 5’8 shooting guard understands what it takes to play at the next level, and I know that she will shine!

Nelson shined in all aspects of the game against Spring Mills. She is one of the most versatile athletes in our state. She finished the game with a double-double. She poured in 11 points, added 10 steals, and 6 assists! Brenna is an excellent defender, a selfless kid, and a solid offensive contributor. Keep your eyes on this entire Morgantown squad!

Nelson was previously ranked at the 17th spot. This one is now in our top 10! There is no doubt that she can fly! She recently claimed a new weight room broad jump record at her high school! 93″ is quite impressive! On the court, she’s crafty and she remains automatic in the mid-range. Brenna is a tough athlete that will continue to turn heads!

It’s no surprise to see Nelson move in the top 20. She has moved up 4 spots from her previous ranking. She’s a standout track athlete. She holds a 4.0 GPA. We always speak highly of the STUDENT-athletes, and Brenna is one of those athletes that deserve to be recognized! High school season will be here before we know it, and Nelson will play a huge part in helping Morgantown get back to the state tournament!

Nelson may be at the 21st spot for now, but that will definitely change! This one knows the game and plays it the right way! She plays exceptionally hard on both ends of the floor. She was a spark that her team needed at numerous times throughout the season. After all, Nelson did put up 19 points on 8/11 shooting in a victory against George Washington. Brenna will play a huge part in the continued success of the Mohigans! Morgantown has the talent and I do believe that we will see them in the state championship again next season.
