Bri’Tanya transferred to Wayne from South Side this Summer, and this weekend she showed that Wayne could be a problem in the Fort Wayne are during the 2026-2027 season. She has good strength at her size, she is very quick and shifty, and she can change gears North/South and get downhill in a hurry. She is great creating offense off the dribble, whether that means finishing in the paint or on pull-ups herself, or finding open teammates in positions to score. She is also a very good on-ball defender. As she continues to make her jump-shot more consistent, she will be an even bigger problem.

Bri’Tanya is an up-and-comer who could surprise a lot of people. She is strong at her size, she is very quick and shifty, and she is a downhill playmaker who can facilitate or score the ball herself with a variety of finishes, runners, and floaters. I also like how, at the lead guard spot, she is typically very even tempered. It helps to keep her team poised. Still, she can become a terror on the ball defensively, and she can go to that place mentally to pour in the points from time to time.

BriTanya put up big numbers for Fort Wayne South Side this Winter. This was my first opportunity to see her, and I was very impressed. She has nice length, an athletic frame, speed & quickness, and she is a natural playmaker. From what I had heard about her, I thought she was a shooting guard or maybe even a wing, but once I saw her, I could see she was a really nice point guard who is also able to score the ball in bunches. She was confident with the ball in her hands, she scored it at all levels, plus she was a very active & aggressive defender who constantly got her hands on the basketball.
