I first saw Brooklyn play last spring, and I was very impressed with the level of play she displayed on both ends of the floor. From the moment she stepped on the court, her confidence, toughness, and overall feel for the game stood out right away. She competes with a high motor and plays with the type of energy that impacts the game in multiple ways.
Brooklyn has a solid frame at the guard position and does a great job using her strength to her advantage. Whether she is attacking the basket, defending on the perimeter, or fighting through contact, she plays with physicality and does not back down from competition. Her ability to stay balanced and under control allows her to make strong plays offensively while also being effective defensively.
At the Prep Girls Hoops event, Brooklyn really showed her ability to consistently knock down shots from the perimeter while also attacking the rim with confidence. She did a good job creating scoring opportunities for herself and played with great pace throughout the games I watched. Defenders had a tough time keeping her in front because of how strong she is getting downhill. Brooklyn will be a very good addition to the Hamilton Southeastern varsity program, and her future looks bright moving forward.

I’ve watched Brooklyn, or at least kept an eye on her, since she was in 7th grade, and now seeing her as an 8th grader with just a few months left before heading into 9th grade, her development is very noticeable. She has continued to improve her skill set and shows more confidence each time out.
Brooklyn does a great job of using her size to get downhill and finish at the rim, and she has a polished go-to move with her one-foot fadeaway jumper that she can rely on in key moments. She understands how to play within herself and makes the game easier by making the right reads and decisions. Her footwork around the basket continues to improve, allowing her to create clean looks even when defended.
What stands out is that she plays the game the right way—under control, unselfish, and with a clear understanding of how to impact the game on both ends. She competes, stays engaged defensively, and continues to show growth as she gains more experience against stronger competition. That combination makes her a very enjoyable player to watch and a prospect that continues to trend in the right direction as she prepares for the next level.
