About Cora

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

On defense, I love the challenge of guarding the other team's best player and leading scorer. I put a lot of hours in the gym shooting and I am a three-level scorer. I am not afraid to take the big shot. Overall, I think I have a high basketball IQ.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe that hard work leads to success, both on and off the basketball court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Citizenship Award - 8th grade Fellowship of Christian Athletes

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I like to lead by example. Hard work, toughness and discipline are all important characteristics that I have developed and that have helped me develop into a leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had surgery on my kneecap after my 8th grade basketball season. I was unable to play sports for approximately 3 months after the surgery. I now cherish every opportunity I have to play basketball.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college with great academics and community support.

Shooter! Thats what I would yell every time Cora Sauer Cora Sauer Cora Sauer 5'8" | SG Lake Mills | 2027 State IA touches the ball. She is fairly skilled in other aspects of the game as well but her most lethal weapon in her arsenal is her jumper. Sauer is one that can catch on fire if she see’s just one shot attempt go in to start a contest. It doesn’t matter if she is contested, wide open, in the half court, or in transition, if you give her space and time – the attempt will aways looks like its going in. At the next level this is someone that could produce, she just needs to find the fit in the right system.
