Almost a year to the day, I spotted Arinze at the 2024 PGH Duel for the Dynasty event and wrote about her in my “May the 4th Be With You” article (found here). Her toughness is next level! Aggressive anticipatory defense is her game. Arinze’s strong upper body frame catches attention, but her ability to use her strength to make plays is what sets her apart. Her communication, hustle, and clutch rebounding, including a key late game board off a free throw, make her the kind of player coaches trust to keep on the floor.

Arinze has been one of those players that has steadily improved her game each season and let me add that she’s “long and athletic” which is, and always will be the base and she stands 2 inched shy of “the magic number” however she plays as if she is above it. The big takeaway on her game is that she’s showing signs of taking over a game, from either end and her relentlessness on the boards is part of it, so is her defense and timing. On the flip, she scores around the basket, after contact, and can drop the short jumper as well as attack off the dribble
