St. Albert played one of the best teams from the state of Nebraska yesterday when they went to Creighton University to take on the Pender Pendragons. The end result is not what St. Albert would have wanted as they fell just short of victory but someone for their team that stood out as a constant was PG –

. Coughlin was her usual self, controlling pace of play and setting up her team’s offense in transition. She was one of the higher scoring producers that this group had on the evening. Which is not always what you want from your starting pass-first PG because that means that others are producing as much but you’ll take it. All in all, Coughlin is a standout soccer prospect to my knowledge so I don’t think college ball is in her cards for her but if she wanted too, she would have some options. The way she can handle pressure and make the correct decisions is impactful and that stands out each time she takes the floor.

right now. I love Coughlin’s game and I know several college coaches that would love it as well. Coughlin gets to her spots for jumpers, she creates for others as her main responsibility, she controls pace of play, she gets to the bucket anytime she wants it seems, and most importantly – she makes everyone else around her much better. Coughlin was their commander down the stretch of this thing. She showed a lot of promise as a constant threat and this group is going to continue to keep that once they get into Post season play in a few short weeks.

a role player for her St. Albert High School program but she is crucial in their quest to win back2back 1A State Titles. Coughlin is a heck of an athlete, which makes sense as she is a standout across the state in Soccer. Coughlin has that speed, endurance, and knowledge to produce against most others on the Basketball court. Defensively, she can stick on any other quick guard with her endurance, usually grabbing a handful of steals or defections in the process. Like I said, Coughlin might not score 30 a game but she steps up when it matters the most. We saw that last year when St. Albert won their Championship and we are seeing it once again this year. Now they have to continue to ride that momentum.

had one of the best showing of her career in the 1A State Championship last night. Coughlin came in off the bench and controlled pace, possession, tempo, and most importantly – the press break. She understood that once her team got it over half-court, they needed to slow down and run offense as much as they could. They had advantages at almost every position so why not? This showed me a lot of discipline and that Coughlin understands how to win. When the final buzzer sounded, this wasn’t the MVP of the game but she was vital in her team’s success to pull this one out. Without her, they don’t get it done. Which says a lot because it’s not like this is someone who is killing you with fancy moves or something you’ve never seem before. She keeps it simple and beats her opponent with quickness or athletic ability. Something anyone can do with a hungry mindset, a high motor, and the right guidance.

Saint Albert High School is one that is going to make some big-time noise these next two-three Winter seasons if they have anything to say about it. This is a group that built a solid foundation during their 2023-2024 campaign and they return most of their roster once again. One of their underclassman that made an impact during her Freshman year was PG,

. Coughlin is a multi-sport athlete, that embodies what it means to lead by example. She is someone that thrives in the departments of communications, hard-work, and effort. At the end of her high school career, I’m not sure if Coughlin will want to compete on the collegiate floor for Basketball or if she will keep her talents on the Soccer pitch. Either way, this is someone that can accomplish a lot when she is motivated so which ever she picks, I’m sure she is going to continue to kill it.

of Saint Albert High School and Team Factory AAU is someone I’ve seen a few times over the past couple of years and every time I sit down to watch, she seems to get better in some aspect of the game. Coughlin is a multi-sport athlete, that knows to play her game whenever she see’s the floor. She is someone that is going to help you out without hurting you too much a majority of the time and that’s something to notice. This upcoming Winter season, Saint Albert is going to have a chance to make some big time waves in their conference and a major reason for that will be the play of their younger prospects, like Coughlin. If they can make a solid game plan each and every night, this is a group we will be hearing a lot about moving forward this upcoming 2024-2025 season.

Coughlin is determined to get to the paint and when she does you can almost bet that she will be going to that step-through finish. She sells every other move hard to make you believe that she will be doing something different but then she comes right back to that finish. She has proved that as an undersized guard she can finish amongst the trees and size doesn’t matter.

Her presence on the floor is a huge difference maker. With her speed and decision making she puts her team in the best situation every time she has the ball. The way she sprints out and turn possessions into transition 3on2 usually results in her drawing 2 in and dumping it off to one of her teammates for the finish.
