Maeve Ryan will be apart of a steady group at St. Albert over the next couple of years. Ryan, the 5’5 CG, stepped on the hardwood last Winter and held her own on all accounts. She outplayed most other 2029’s that lined up across from her and she never let failure deter her from trying to make things happen during meaningful minutes. Ryan is going to turn into quite the player. Her older sister has it together as an upperclassmen at this point and I think Maeve is on that same trajectory at this point. She is going to be a source of energy once again for their group this upcoming season and I can’t wait to see her standout every time she laces up her kicks.

I was impressed with Maeve Ryan Maeve Ryan 5'5" | CG St. Albert | 2029 IA on the St. Albert side of things. In the first half, Ryan was the best Freshman on the floor. She contributed as a main passer within their offense early on and she wasn’t afraid to make some gutsy plays on defense against another very talented Freshman. Ryan isn’t the type to kill you with fancy moves. She keeps it simple and lets the opponent decide how things are going to go down. From there, she produces and thrives. Her growth will be crucial over the next 3.5 season as a skilled player but she has the foundation to be a college level prospect at the end of the day.

If Maeve Ryan Maeve Ryan 5'5" | CG St. Albert | 2029 IA turns out to be anything like her older sister, she is going to be one heck of a player over these next four years for St. Albert High School out of Council Bluffs. From my understanding, Ryan has all the tools as a guard to make a difference each contest this Spring/Summer and into the future. She has a basic but solid handle, good vision in open space, a willingness to get into the teeth of the defense, and some natural instincts. Not to mention, it seems like she has a great attitude from afar. Her Nebraska Supreme 14U team is going to be a talented one but as long as she plays her game, she will be just fine.
