About Ella
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
How I would describe my game would be that I play smoothly but also fast-paced. I do this by taking smart shots by reading the defense, always looking to score but never not looking for the extra pass. I hustle on defense and look to score to ball in transition or look up the court for a potentially open teammate.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I would describe my mentality when it comes to the game of basketball is to keep my mind calm, but also play intense and leave it all on the court. If I make a mistake I always keep my head up and look forward to the next play.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in my schools HOSA program, this past year at state, I received an award for earning the 5th highest score in the Health Education Test. I was also a part of the math league and the student council. To add, I have received high honors awards every quarter throughout middle school.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
A very important skill is my leadership. During highschool summer league I feel like I played a very big role with communicating with my teammates. Whether it be on defense or on the offensive side of the game. For community service I have helped with youth volleyball camps this past summer, and worked at a camp called Camp Invention.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge that I have faced is playing with no fear and trusting my hard work. It used to be tough for me to have confidence during games, but after working really hard to gain it back I have come very far.
What type of college are you looking for?
A college that I am looking for is one that I can easily fit into and most importantly one that feels like home. Adding on, a college that has a great legacy and culture that my teammates and I would be able to add on to. Lastly, a coach who believes everyone of their players and trusts them and pushes them to become the best player that they can be.
