About Erin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm descrived as offensive MVP on my highschool basketball team. I can see the whole floor as PG and make the best unexpected passe to opne players. I know when it's time to reset and call the best play for the team. I also know when to take the opportunity and score. I play great defense as well with the goal to not let the opponent get around me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I can be quiet but observant. I am calm but fierce on the court. I like peaceful environments and love for everyone to get along. I can lead but also follow as a team player. I love to laugh but also know when it's a time to be serious.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills while leading my team in school ball since 7th grade as a PG. Working in groups has helped improve communication. I have also learned conflict resolution and decision-making. I have learned to adapt to different environments through community service events such as feeding at the Manna House, and collecting donations for the Salvation Army angel tree.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My parents had to make a tough decision for me to have a knee procedure right before my 9th grade year. I got cleared to play right before the season started but missed a lot of practices due to post surgery recovery. It was tough to sit on the bench for a while but I proved myself every opportunity I had on the court which increased my playing time and I gained my starting position.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a high spirited diverse college that provides academic support for student athletes. I'm looking for a team environment on the court and in class. I woul like to go to a school that continues to develop players in top-tier strength and conditioning facilities. A college that enorporates hands-on experiences such as case studies or internships as a learning tool to pursue my career.
