Dunat appears poised to step up into a much bigger role this season for 5A River Bluff. She’s earning the playing time – she competed in 24 games last season for coach Jordan Leath’s Gators and one can expect an increase in minutes. At 5-foot-11, Dunat has shown prowess as an interior scorer and rebounder. Finishing with strength at the rim is another one of Dunat’s strengths as is being an efficient runner of the floor. She plays with a heads-up attitude at all times when she is on the court but it especially can display itself on the defensive end of the floor where opposing ball-carriers can be left prone to turning the ball over.

hit a nice transition three pointer showing off her range and ability to run the court. She continued using her speed on both ends making sure she always had a chance for a play on the ball. She knew when to make her move all the way to the basket or pull up where she is to score.

Dunat’s career has included a stint at one 5A Division 1 school in Lexington and now has taken her to another 5A Division 1 team in River Bluff. She adds to the guard depth of what should be a tough out for any opponent. A mishap from an opposing team’s ball carrier can lead to a Dunat steal. If she has the ball behind the 3-point line with a good look, she is likely to attempt and connect on her try from deep. Add in the ability to make transition plays and one can see Dunat will be a worthwhile addition to a River Bluff squad that is poised for a banner 2025-26.
