Doze off on defense against Dozier and she will make said dozing defender pay. This is especially the case when she has the rock in her hands behind the 3-point line as she is very likely to take – and make – attempts from distance. She recently completed her final AAU season where she ran with SC Eagles on the Under Armour circuit. That prowess from deep also helps when earning opportunities at the free throw line as proficient 3-point shooters are usually the last players an opposing team wants to foul. Dozier would compete in 26 contests last season under the tutelage of coach Jordan Leath at 5A River Bluff. 

Dozier is part of the 2027 graduating class for River Bluff. The 5-foot-10 standout for the Gators was one of six from the class of 2027 on last season’s River Bluff assembling. Dozier saw playing time in all 26 contests last season with River Bluff. One would expect someone with Dozier’s height to primarily play in the frontcourt, but she has the long range shooting accuracy of a two guard. The versatility that Dozier brings to the court is complimented by her passing capabilities. Dozier is poised to conclude both her grassroots and high school career with an exclamation point.

Dozier saw a huge uptick in games played last season at 5A Division 1 River Bluff. She only played in two games as a freshmen compared to 24 contests in her sophomore season. As her junior season lurks, she displayed signs at the Passion Driven Showcase that she is ready to take that next step with a Gators team poised to contend. As she displayed over the weekend with Team Cooper, her accuracy from behind the 3-point arc is part of it as she connected on four 3-pointers in one of the games in Florence. Ball-handling capabilities, connecting in the midrange, passing and creating her own shot are other positive attributes to her game. In addition, opposing defenses looking to clamp down on some of the other notables on coach Jordan Leith’s team should open things up for Dozier to make even more plays.

Dozier was one of two representing 5A River Bluff at this year’s Carolinas Expo. One of the areas of her game she places a great deal of emphasis on is her 3-point shooting capabilities. Dozier’s game at this stage of her career is still developing, but she is showing prowess as well with her passing. She can operate well within the flow of an offense and knows when the right time is to attack the rim. Ball handling is another element of her still developing skillset that is a sight to watch. Dozier may be on the list of sophomores that could put together noteworthy 2024-25 seasons.
