Gabby is now playing for Winston Salem Christian for high school and Phoenix Elite AAU team. Gabby was leading the charge at the Point Guard position. She created well off the dribble for her teammates and was able to slash her way through the gaps and find the holes of the defense that opened up open looks for her teammates. There were times she was making passes using both her right and left hand which was impressive. She also had opportunities where she was able to blow by the defense and score at will. Defensively, she was tough and applied hard pressure in both games that helped her team hold their opponents to low scoring performances.

Gabrielle brought home Player of the Game honors in multiple games at Summer Slam including the championship game where she scored 14 points to lead her team to another Insider Exposure championship. The game I watched closest against Redline in the Final Four, she was just as effective scoring the basketball. On one of the first plays of the game, Troy-Mebane was able to get around her defender going right before finishing under Hollyn Hicks Hollyn Hicks 6'1" | PF East Forsyth | 2027 State GA with a nice finger roll off the glass. Seconds later she scored a layup on an uncontested layup and scored another layup in transition with three Redline defenders trying to run her down later in the game. She was effective in other areas offensively, specifically in the pick and roll, where she hit Aamori Patterson Aamori Patterson 5'7" | PG/CG Hibriten | 2027 State NC for a three point shot early in the second half to push the lead out and secure the victory for Lady Phoenix Elite. She currently holds one offer from Winston Salem State University, but with her recent move to Winston Salem Christian School to join Rudd, that number will surely grow and probably sooner rather than later.

Now playing with Lady Phoenix Elite for the last two months you can see that Gabby is bringing a new intensity to her game. She has gotten better in every sense, and you can tell that it has all started to click for her. Expect big things from her in July and moving forward.

Troy-Mebane is an explosive guard in the open court. She does a good job of attacking the rim and getting downhill. She can also exploit the defense by making good decisions with the ball in her hands. She will get paint touches and find her three-point shooters. Gabby also has the ability to find her bigs in the paint with entry passes from the perimeter.

Gabby continues to rise in the rankings due to her steady play. She is impressive making moves with the ball in her hands especially in the open court. She also is doing a great job of distributing the ball and finding easy shots for her teammates. One thing that you can always count on is for her to play one hundred percent on the defensive end. She loves to turn her defense into offensive productivity.

Also known as Gabby. Gabby can get the ball up the floor quickly and does a great job of pushing the ball out and limiting dribbles. She can find the correct angles and create her own shot getting to the basket or she can split the defenders and create a pass for her teammates. She sees the floor well and can deliver a pass off two feet from penetrating and pitching, but is also tall enough and strong enough to make skip passes across the court. Mebane also can shoot the ball around the perimeter and is best when her feet at set.

Gabby Troy-Mebane is a shifty guard knowing how to use her quickness to get around her defenders whether she’s attacking the basket or finding the open lane to hit her teammates with a sharp pass.  She explodes up the court with the ball scoring off a fast breaks, and she certainly has range on her shot from around the perimeter.  She sees the floor very well making sure to get the best play going for her team.

Gabrielle Troy-Mebane was all over the court on defense getting in the way of her opponents as they tried to bring it up for some offense.  She would jump in front of passing lanes grabbing the steal and make the pass up the court to her teammate that had released.  She can pick the pocket of her opponents, too, when someone tries to dribble by her.  She handles the ball with speed and effectively uses her change of direction moves to get to the rim.

A 5’7″ 2026 guard who showed some toughness as she turned an ankle early in the event, but came back to have a very good showing. She is a potent offensive player who was knocking down 3-pointers off the catch while also creating her own shot off the dribble. I was also impressed with her defensively as she moved her feet well and also had some quick hands to disrupt opposing ball handlers.
