The number one ranked player in her position as a combo guard for this Spring. Leena is a dynamic guard that can make your head spin with her crafty one on one moves and play making ability. She appears that she has the basketball on a string every time she spins and slashes to the paint. McField has received several Division I offers, and I expect her stock to continue to rise this summer.

Leena McField Leena McField 5'11" | CG/PG State #100 Nation NC is an excellent ball handler who just has a nose for finding the open lane and getting to the rim.  Even under the big lights, she came to play with a smile on her face making sure she showed off her skills using her handles to get by her opponents.  She knows how to create space for herself or draw defenders towards her to create some space for her teammates.  She can pull up from anywhere on the court, too, to show off her shot.

McField just received another college scholarship offer showing that she has elite skills to be a prime-time player at the next level. She was chosen one of five players to the All-State First team. Leena averaged 26 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in her junior season. She is destined to be at the top of all honors and awards next season.

Leena McField Leena McField 5'11" | CG/PG State #100 Nation NC was showing off her motor from the jump attacking the basket and jumping in front of passing lanes to grab the steal.  She wasn’t taking no for an answer even showing off some post moves on the block to score her points.  She stripped the ball playing tough on ball defense to push the other direction.  She knew when to make the dish to her teammates or take it all the way herself.

Towards the conclusion of Thursday’s championship contest, McField was serenaded with MVP chants by Nighthawk nation. McField more than earned those chants – and the Kay Yow MVP honors as she paved the way to 6A state victory for the Nighthawks with a game-high 24 points. McField made plays both in the field and at the free throw line for the Nighthawks as she connected on 10 of her 14 attempts from the charity stripe. Her stellar performance also included seven rebounds, three assists and five steals as she played all 32 minutes of Thursday afternoon’s 6A state get-together. 

Leena McField Leena McField 5'11" | CG/PG State #100 Nation NC is an exceptional athlete leading her team in points, rebounds, assists and steals quite literally showing how she can do it all.  Her finesse with the ball in her hands is fun to watch being able to pull up from anywhere on the court and show off her range.  She’s explosive getting inside the paint to get the pass and bucket in a flash.  She sees the floor well knowing where to make the dish to her teammates, and she anticipates what her opponents are going to do stripping the ball away from them before they can drive past her.

A multi facet talented guard that has shown all of her skills at a high level. Leena loves the ball in her hands and handles the ball with confidence. She is flashy with her moves and does an excellent job of knowing when to use certain moves. McField’s aggressiveness on the court results in her being able to score many points, rebounds, steals and assists.

This kid has talent oozing out of her. An All-American guard that can do it all. She loves the ball in her hands and she loves to make big plays down the stretch. Leena attacks hard and aggressively to the rim with a nasty crossover. She knows how to cradle the ball for protection when she is slicing through multiple defenders. Nice hesitation moves off of a high ball screen.

Leena McField Leena McField 5'11" | CG/PG State #100 Nation NC is definitely a player that you want to have the ball in her hands.  Her efficiency in scoring is fun to watch being able to knock down her shot from around the perimeter and also attack the basket battling anyone who tries to stand in her way.  She knows how to drive making the defense collapse to find her open teammate for their own shot.  She does a nice job getting in the way of her opponents making sure they don’t have any easy paths to the basket.

Leena McField Leena McField 5'11" | CG/PG State #100 Nation NC continues to show off her strong ball handling creating some space to get the pass to her teammates or for her to get the ball in the hoop herself.  She showed off her range shooting the ball, and her change of direction moves were sure to get her some space.  She plays well sitting down on defense making sure her opponent stays in front of her.
