Smith was another play who showed a very good offensive skill package throughout the course of the four hour camp. She was especially good in 3 versus 3 where there was a lot more space on the small courts at Seminole Sports Academy. During the first part of the camp, Gracie demonstrated an excellent crossover which she used a couple times to create the space needed to score. On one play she smoothly laid the ball up and off the glass with her left hand after the leaving the defender on the wing with a nice crossover. Smith also hit multiple threes showing her versatility to go along with her excellent size. She looks like a definite yes when it comes to a player who will have the opportunity to compete on the next level after high school.

Gracie showed why she’s a promising freshman by using her length and energy to make an impact on both ends. Her activity defensively led to steals, and she consistently played with a high motor. Offensively, she was unselfish and showed good feel for the game while seeing the floor well and making the right decisions. Her versatility stood out as she used her frame to rebound while also stepping out and knocking down the three which gave Calvary another multi-dimensional piece in the rotation.

Gracie Smith Gracie Smith 5'9" | SG Calvary Christian-Clearwater | 2029 State FL was constantly moving, spacing the floor, and cutting to the rim, putting herself in position for easy layups. Her activity around the top of the key also kept her open for threes off the catch. Defensively, her hands were always active both on and off the ball, forcing ball handlers to second-guess their decisions and creating turnovers—either directly by her or by putting her teammates in position for the steal. Gracie is a selfless player who impacts the game in many ways that don’t show up on the stat sheet, while still having the skill to knock down shots off the catch and finish layups in transition or off cuts to help extend the score.
